That first run from scrimmage for the TD by Blake Birchfield was a thing of beauty. They payed like a house a fire from that point on. . Congrats on the win Panthers! Good luck to a good 4-A team in LCC for the remainder of the season !

I didn't know if LCC would be able to defend Pikeville, but I thought for sure Carson Adams and company would put up some points to keep the game within' striking distance. I was wrong. Pikeville was head and shoulders better than Letcher Central.

LCC is a good football team. They have alot of size, good speed and talent. But Pikeville looked like a team that has already played 10 games this year. They have talent across the board on both sides of the ball and most certainly are the best coached team in the mountains. I didn't think I could be more impressed by them after the Paintsville game but I was blown away watching them last night. It's unfair that they're a 1A school, because I don't see any other 1A school coming within 30 points of them this year.

This team does not need to worry about any team except the next one on the schedule. That’s it and in my opinion that could have been what happened to them last year, they were loaded last year and loaded this year but don’t lose your focus you Pikeville players the next game is the only one that matters not the last one or the one in the future. Keep working and I will bet that the coaching staff saw things last night you guys need to work on. Celebrate last nights win this weekend then on to the next challenge come Monday but as always GO PANTHERS!!!

Few thoughts on last game. This has to be the best Pikeville team in years. They are clearly in the top 3 teams in mountains only behind Johnson Central and Corbin and the gap isn’t that far apart. Pikeville would give either team all they want. We played Pikeville back in 2015 the year they won the state with a far inferior LCC team than we had last night and it was a more competitive game than last night. I see no 1A team staying within 50 points of this Pikeville team. It’s amazes me a school with 300 kids can dress 60 players that looks like Pikeville kids do. On the LCC side they was clearly beaten and completely out coached last night and I hope this don’t cause them to lose what could be a really good season. This team still can win most of there games left on schedule. I will be really interested to see Pikeville Vs LCA in a couple of weeks should be a great game.

I 100 percent agree.. lcc was beat before the game started.. and taking out Adams is a dumb move..they had some momentum after the TD pass, then he was taken out.

Called a running clock. Pikeville has the opportunity to bring another one back home. The only thing that will keep them from that is themselves.

Pikeville looked better than I anticipated...very big improvement from game 1 to game 2.

They will definitely have their hands full with LCA, who along with Beechwood appear to be on another level than the rest of 2A...unless I'm forgetting someone which is very possible lol. Win or lose at LCA the Panthers will be a better team come playoff time because of playing LCA...the same can be said about Paintsville playing Beechwood last week.

Keep Adams in at QB and keep Little in the game too. Let him be used as a utility (Like the SV game) and they’ll be better off. The team is better when they are BOTH on the field. Keep 1, 8, 16, 7 on the field on offense at all times.

100% agree. The coaching was a huge mismatch last night. Last week Vs David Crockett they rotated the whole first half and we didn’t get a first down when little was at QB. Got down 21-0 and they let Adams play the whole 2nd half and LCC out scored David Crockett 26-3 rest of the way.LCC made no adjustments on defense the whole night.
