Where are all my catholics at??
I'm a late comer to the "party". I was raised in the rather conservative and orderly Church of Christ.. my father was a preacher and teacher, my grandpa an elder. I went every wednesday night and twice on sunday. Loved it too. Was baptised January 8th 2003. No regrets whatsoever.
But then came 2005, and I met my first fired up Catholic. We became fast friends. And it became my mission in life to convert him away from his 'heretical' beliefs. I spent the next 2 years doing the most intense studying I've ever done. I began reading the writings of the early church fathers... justin the martyr, Irenaeus, Ignatius, Polycarp, Clement of Rome, etc. And I dug deep into catholic dogmad.. the rationale, the ideas, the scriptures, the history.
And much like the book, Case Closed, about the JFK assassination... where the author set out to prove the conspiracy behind the assassination.. and realized as he was finishing up his research that he had actually proven his entire premise wrong. And ended up writing the definitive go-to guide to prove that LHO was the lone gunman. The same identical thing had happened to me regarding my faith. I had became catholic, once I learned the truth about what they believe, why they believe, and how to explain it.
Today I'm passionate about Apologetics and lively debate. I don't consider myself to be an evangelist, and prefer the Alcoholics Anonymous method of "attraction rather than promotion". But I'm ready at any moment to defend my faith, the catholic truths, and clear up misconceptions.
My story of conversion ends in Taji, Iraq in April 2010. In a 13th century Islamic mosque that had most of its roof missing from a bombing. The local elders of the village had allowed us to have our church service in the historical landmark.. and I converted on Holy Saturday! I did so under the assumed name of St Padre Pio. (I've read so much about this holy and amazing man... I'd give anything to be like him. Although I'll never come close!). The Brigade Surgeon (Colonel Aguila) was my sponsor and saw me through the whole process... presenting me to the priest in front of the congregation that morning. Father Wood's was a major... and interestingly enough, is one of the very few MARRIED priests in the Catholic church. So that was super unique and cool.
Anyways... Besides dedicating my life to Christ in 2003... converting to Catholicism was the single most important decision I ever made.
I love you all. Especially my non-catholic brothers and sisters in Christ. At the end of the day, we are still one body.

Proof ..... evidence.... one shred of anything other than myth or fable?? That's what I thought.
Here's the real RR , b!tching about "socialized medicine" (actually it was Medicare) back in 1961, four years before it passed Congress under LBJ.
“One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine.” ...
“From [Medicare] it’s a short step to all the rest of socialism, to determining his pay and pretty soon your son won’t decide when he’s in school where he will go or what he will do for a living.” ...
“Write those letters now [to Congress] and call your friends and them to write … If you don’t do this and I don’t do this, one of these days we are going to spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children, what it once was like in America when men were free.
You know, maybe the real Reagan had a point considering that a good number of older folk are doing this now. They are generally white , watch FOX News , spread MAGA conspiracy theories, AND they are strong supporters of Medicare(wonder why?) .
I hate to here that , Mr. President. I have listened to Apologetics' arguments for two decades and the lack of critical thinnking in their arguments never ceases to amaze. Maybe you will be the one that makes it all come together in a neat little logical package. As passionate as you are about Apologetics, I am just as passionate about anti-theism.
Here's Matt Dillahunty opining on the world's largest and most corrupt criminal organization. Just the first 9 minutes and 30 seconds is what I would like my Catholic friends to listen to and comment about.

What on earth is the first 5 paragraph ramblings about?? lol.
Tell me... What is your experience with apologetics as it relates to Catholicism? And why on earth were you involved with it, being passionate about antitheism?
Apologetics doesn't attempt to prove the existence of God. So you'd have very very little to talk about with someone who is a purist.
I wouldn't even attempt to talk to you about apologetics. It'd prove pointless, fruitless, and in vain. And I'd probably lose a possible friend over it.
Not my goal pal.
Apologetics, in its purest form, is actually robust explanation and reasoning about particular doctrines of disagreement among various denominations. Apologetics would only be fruitful and reasonable to engage, when its with another believer.
I'll watch your video. Every second of it. Because you spent the time and energy to post it and asked that I do so.
I expect the same courtesy from you. Deal? Now I've gotta go find a Mother Angelica 6 hour loop of Hail Mary's. BRB. :)

I strongly recommend the PBS Frontline documentary Secrets of the Vatican . It reveals just how far up in the hierarchy of the Catholic Church the corruption and criminality goes. Required viewing for impressionable young minds even considering this religion. Here's just one little snippet.
Not everything about the religious are what they seem on the surface. At 3:30 of this clip, we learn about the real Teresa. I recommend Hitchens' Hell's Angel , an expose' on the real Teresa .

Is the catholic hierarchy corrupt? Yup. We almost all believe that too.
Has the vatican covered up in the past, present, and likely the future -- the fact that a bunch of horrible men have done a lot a horrible things to a lot of innocent kids? Yup. Again, almost any catholic you ask will tell you the same thing.
Do I think that there's quite a few Pope's burning in hell? Absolutely. Again, almost any catholic you ask will tell you the same thing.
You're trying to play a game of 'gotcha' with me. And its funny, because I already agreed with you on all your points.
But the fact that you didn't and dont know what Apologetics is about -- tells us quite a bit about you. Usually in your very first post on a subject, when you get the entire idea wrong... it sorta ends the conversation. And it did, because you didn't even mention it again. So ---- 'gotcha'??
I don't need to watch a bunch of documentaries.. you could have just asked me what I thought about it. lol.
The fact is, you're an obvious troll and everyone on this entire website knows it. I just went and looked through your posts... 99% of them are just angry, personal, and trying to get people riled up. You just picked the wrong guy this time I guess.
We get it. You hate religion and especially catholics. No problem brother. Do you and do it well. If it brings you peace and serenity.. and you're gonna love this! Because as Pope Francis said, "who am i to judge?"
You got anything else you'd like to say? The floor is yours.
Peace be with you, my friend.
Again, why did you leave a 6 paragraph rambling about medicare and socialized medicine right in the middle of all this? Its a bit 'tourette-ish'.

OSH gets triggered at the thought of anyone believing in God. All it does is exacerbate his derangement. He is really quite sad and pitiful. He will google "Catholic bad" and the post whatever gibberish that search will retrieve. And you will of course hear nothing about the vast majority of Catholics who are good people (approaching 1.5 BILLION people). Also he is deranged about everyone who doesn't share his worldview and doesn't ever think liberal Democrats do anything wrong or corrupt. A complete waste of time, best to just shake your head and move on...

LOL, listen to the the last minute of that clip on Mother Teresa and see if you can literally feel your IQ dropping. Meant for deranged fools and idiots, and of course no surprise who is all over it. Mother Teresa did more good every day of her life than OSH would do in 1000 lifetimes.

"On paper, Mother Teresa has done a lot of good for the world. Schools, orphanages and hospices should objectively make the world a better place. But in practice, it appears that her altruistic actions were more for show than good, and were meant to relieve the white Western world of its guilt, a way for rich and powerful countries to pat themselves on the back for being able to have a representative from their world save people in poorer parts of the world. The dark side of Mother Teresa is not that she was an evil figure whose ulterior motive was to cause harm and destruction, but that her image, her public persona was that which (some unknown dumba$$) would define as 'white woman in the colonies, working to save the dark bodies from their own temptations and failures'"
You would have to be a galactic-level idiot to believe one word of that.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Not one word of that hit piece could fool the average 2nd-grader. Pure propaganda done by atheists.

From a vieweor of Father McDonough's deposition video :
" Just minutes in and my impression are he police are interviewing members of the mafia. It's sad that he Catholic Church and organized crume seem so similar."---Central Scrutinizer (one year ago).
I know some really good practicing Catholics. Never understood how good people( like my next door neidghbors and a trusted colleague at work) would associate themselves with such a corrupt and criminal organization. Religious indoctrination is terribly sad.

^^^Vast majority of Catholics are very good people who won't let a few bad eggs come between them and God. And you despise that very simple fact.
Kind of like I don't let a few deranged idiots keep me off of Bluegrassrivals.
