Russell, Belfry, Rockcastle Co. and Bell Co. have the best chance IMO Paintsville lost a lot of players from last years team.

I agree, but there still returning alot of skill players ! Like Vanhoose and Pugh and others !

yea but they still dont have a chance to go to state

Pikeville has a decent shot at it this year IMO.

Belfry and Russell, Belfry would have the home game this year in that matchup. It would be a dandy but really WAY to early to tell, alot can happen from now until then. Pikeville I think has a better chance than Painstville. 3a is just to good in the other region I think even though Bell and Rock are tuff.
Im still hoping that Pikeville and Belfry can both go to state and win it taht would be great.

Russel maybe but......PAINTSVILLE:lmao: they cant even beat JC.......and how is their o-line looking.....I rest my case

Paintsville or Pikeville or Any EKY team for that fact in Single A can beat the NKY powerhouses(NCC or Beechwood)

You have NO clue what you just said. JC is a Decent Sized 3A school with what?, around 75 players give or take a few, with not very many playing both ways. Paintsville is a 1A school and LUCKY to get 35 to come out, and a lot playing both ways. Paintsville isn't supposed to beat JC.
BUT, You know what is really FUNNY :lmao: . They have beat them and they do beat them. As a matter a fact if I am not mistaken PHS holds a slight advantage in the win department.
Here's one for your case. Let's see Russell vs. Trinity or St.X. (2A vs. 4A) same dif. I rest my case, Please.
It is way to early to make any guesses right now. But, I would love to see JC, SC and PHS in the mix of things next season. Good Luck to all three.

Belfry will be a force to deal with this year. I do look for Pikeville to be an improved team this year on a mission. Look for Russell to be in the hunt. They love the taste of what they got last year. JC will make a lot of team turn their heads this year also. It should be a great year for Eastern Kentucky Football.

That would be great though id definately be pulling for Belfry in the 2a game.

Few, in any, Class A mountain teams would have beat JCHS last year. I know I didn't see any that could have. I agree, the O-line will be the deciding factor for PHS this year, but that goes for everyone they play as well. Some on here are talking about NCC and Beechwood ( and that is logical) but I think this year LCA will be in the state finals against Danville.

Both of those teams have to go through LCA or NCC. Let us not forget, Paintsville was in the regional final and played Somerset a lot closer than Pikeville, last year. But that was last year. The past is just that-the past. Good luck to all mountain teams.

What are you saying it is a matter of QUANTITY vs. QUALITY ? It appears to me RR that no matter the district number if one can play the game it shouldn't take 100 players. Every team has off seasons and are likely to be defeated.
BUT it all rest on QUALITY rather than Quantity.
Let there be no confusion RR, you have made a contradiction and don't even realize it :thatsfunn
ITS EITHER ONE WAY OR THE OTHER :dontthink
Overall Johnson County has very good players in quality rather than quantity. It would be awesome if JC and Paintsville combined in sports.

You're gonna keep thinking wrong. Pikeville has all kinds of good players coming up. Paintsville has beaten Pikeville once in the last 20-something years. Don't know who will win this year but can't see how anyone could just assume Paintsville will win lol...hh:

^It's just my Prediction ! I've seen the way both teams have played last season and when they where in middle school and JV !
