Betsy Layne 71 Pike County Central 61
#1
Final Score
#2
This game was ridulous. I was there and i can say that pike central played a bad game. But on top of that, the offical's were horrible. Congrads to BL. This game was at BL. It was senior night. What else is there to say?
#3
What the heck? Did Rowe get outcoached or what?
#4
Did Lowe get a head injury and have to leave for stitches??
#5
Congrats Betsy Layne.

He got ejected
#7
Yes brad lowe was hit the head and was bleeding on the court. Didnt even get a foul called for him. It was on a shot too. Rowe got ejected prior to Lowe's injury. The hawks didnt even shake the hands of BL.
#8
That sounds like a dirty game..
#9
It was CTD. One of the worst ive seen in a long time. A fight was going to break out if the game wouldve continued. Snodgrass and #14 i think from BL both got Tech fouls called on them.
#10
LOL man I wish I would have attended that one.

It was on a shot?? It happened on BL's offensive end of the court. PCC was throwing the ball in when Brad Lowe & Tyler Hamilton were both jumping for the ball as it went over them and hit heads. Neither of them ever had the ball, the ball was being thrown down court. This happened with 23 seconds left in the game. It was not a make or break play. I think that PCC's coach was watching the ball on the other end of the court and did not actually see what happened and he was upset. This was just an accident. They know each other well and have ties, so It wasn't done intentional. I was at the game too.
#12
I don't see how you consider this an upset... I think that Betsy Layne is better than Pike Central.

They both did get techincals called on them. The officials were consistantly bad on both ends. They let them play too rough and it got out of hand. IMO, Snodgrass set the tempo for the whole game with the rough way he was playing.

If Pike Central is as good as they are said to be with Lowe in the lineup they should have handled this one playing with milk crates.

The reason that Rowe was so irate was b/c these were the EXACT same refs that called the game at Valley when Lowe got injured and there was NO foul called if you ask me 15th region officals needs to realy get their heads on straight and either call consistent games and protect players or their going to have alot of officals licences took away Prime example of last nights ball game not saying that it was a foul on purpose just stating that if ur all saying it was a physical game the hole game and was getting outta control this just goes to show you that the refs in the 15th cant keep control of a game, so i dont c how they are able to call tournament games.
#17
I couldn't agree more 15th those officals must still think it is football season.
#18
That my friends is the longest run on sentence in the world. LOL
#19
BL plays rough basketball. That is the way they are told to play. It goes on in all their games including JV and Freshman teams. To the 58th look out because this is where the Tourney is held and BL has SF in the 1st round.
#20
Well by the way the ref's were calling, any team except valley wouldve had trouble with them. Pike Central is a better team than BL. BL would be good if they had a big man. Preston Simon is by far they're best player. I enjoy watching him play. But, thats all they have in height. Is #14 a transfer? Ive seen him somewhere other than BL.
#21
good question Mario i think i have to
#22
I guess the officials wanted to see a fight. I cant believe PC lost
#23
I cant believe it either
#24
Nathan Lafferty has played at every 58th district school except for South Floyd, so yes he is a transfer... I realize there is alot of support for PC on this site, but I just don't think that this year is the year of the Hawk in the 15th.
#25
doesnt matter BL4L if THE TEAM is told to play like that or not the refs need to get in control of the game and set some examples b-4 something realy bad happens in a game like a BRAWL, if refs dont step up and take some charge who knows whats going to happen and if a game gets out of control and their is a fight how is that going to look on the 15th region pretty crappy its not like ppl up state look up at up right now.

Sry jay, I didnt mean for anything to sound bias. But, you could possibly be right on that one. But, this game they shouldve won in my opininon.
