Final.

Paintsville completely dominated and I mean dominated the LOS.

Congratulations to Hazard on a fine season. Hazard will be a contender sooner rather than later.
#4
Turnovers hurt the dawgs.

Congrats Paintsville, hope you guys bring it home.

Yeah. Every time they had anything positive they fumbled it away. But Paintsville was on a mission tonight from the first two offensive possessions asserting their will with the running game

Great effort from the Tigers tonight! It was a wet one but Paintsville protected the ball very well in tough conditions. Offense had a couple of down possessions early in the red zone but for the most part moved the ball very well! Defense played their guts out tonight and didn’t let up! Keep it Roll’n Tigers!

Congrats Tigers, keep it going.

I’m fairly confident that Hazard had more fumbles than 1st downs.

Also Many Eastern KY fans got to enjoy this one from the comfort of their own home on an extremely Nasty night, thanks to the ones behind the scenes! It takes a Village! Appears the Tigers will play at home again next round!

Congratulations to Paintsville. They did a great job of playing physical on that muddy field.

It’s fantastic to have two semi state teams from Johnson County. Let’s keep it going!

Congrats Paintsville!! They were locked and loaded tonight. I missed the opening drive and score for them, but turned it out right before they blocked the punt. The wet field played into Paintsville ground game and with there big physical offensive line. There defensive lines controlled the LOS and Hazard just couldn’t do anything. Hazard also couldn’t get away from the turnover big either. I believe better conditions would
Of made a better game, but Paintsville still would of won.. I’m hearing they may get Jake Hyden back next week.

Hyden #7 did dress for the game but DNP.

Was also good to see #16 back in action. Allows Paintsville to rest Poe on defense more often.

Congrats to Hazard on a good season, you can now prepare for next year!! Tough for the few seniors but this season had many obstacles and you fought through them and got on track.

Credit to Paintsville, they came out and took care of buisness. Y’all don’t get used to me bragging on you.....?

Keep it going...

North pburg advances, congrats black cats I mean tigers. Football could’ve been golden in Floyd county again. Thank your local dentist for that one

At halftime of the Raceland/Paintsville game, I heard the Pikeville/Hazard score. At that point I kind of felt like whoever came out of Ram Stadium as the winner, would be the won doing the same at Kroger Field. The outcome of this one is a good example of why.

Hazard had 15 yards and 1 first down in the first half. The state title will be decided next week at Paintsville. Whoever wins that game will be a decisive favorite. I don’t think there is anyone left that has the size to stop the Tigers run game.
#26
How in this world did Hazard beat Pikeville? Hazard was outmatched in every aspect last night by the Tigers.
#27
My thoughts exactly Ralph! Ive saw Hazard, Pikeville, Raceland, NCC and Paintsville play in the regular season and Hazard was NOWHERE and I mean NOWHERE, near the caliber of those 4 teams. But by god last week they were!! Sometimes theres just some magic and thats why I love single A ball so much. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good lol

I agree with your assessment. I will add that I don’t think there is a 1A team left that is going to be a ale to run on this defense enough to control the game.

I haven’t watched NCC but it appears they are run heavy with the ability to throw some short/ chain mover passes.

It was a perfect night for football and a dry field. Hazard executed a perfect game plan and got a few turnovers because of it.

Field conditions benefited Paintsville because they are use to playing on grass and Hazard is not. Paintsville is better suited for a non throwable game because as they showed they have both a good offensive a d defensive lines. Hazard needed to throw the ball a little more than what Paintsville needed too. Garrett Miller had only 1 good pass and that was late on that scoring drive on 4th and 12. Almost every throw he made was short last night.

(IF) they were better conditions last night I believe the game could of been a little better. But I still think the outcome would of been a win for Paintsville.
