Which I don’t see a big deal because the kids a D1 highly recruited athlete. But you can take from it what you will.

You pretty much destroyed Prestonsburg and you have the nerve to get on here and cry about Pikeville. It’s hilarious how you thought you actually had a shot in Class A after that pathetic showing in the finals last year. You all should be used to playing second fiddle by now. You’re both little brother in Class A and in your own county. I still remember how a couple of your boosters aggravated Drew Obryan to no end the summer going into his senior season to try and get him to enroll at Paintsville. For the record I Don’t have issues with any kid transferring to Pikeville. Their record on and off the field speak for themselves. Great program. When my Tigers have been fortunate enough to beat them in the past, we have truly defeated a worthy opponent.

There has been a healthy debate on this in Pikeville as to why we play Belfry... I love that game and it’s a great rivalry. Even if we lose that game 9 out 10 times it makes our team better and proves to be a great measuring stick going into the playoffs. It’s also AMAZING when we pull out a W. The Paintsville versus JC thing has always mystified me, fans just lose their junk on this one.

I’m probably in the minority but I genuinely wish JC well and want all surrounding schools to be competitive. Some of the JC fans make that difficult at times but I’m sure some of ours return the favor. It seems that some, not all, JC fans hate Paintsville even more now after the series was cancelled. In the early 2010s Paintsville was in a legitimate state of disrepair. We could have lost football. We lost to Jenkins with Kash Daniel (freshman) on the team for gods sakes. Playing any 4-5A school during that time would have been suicide mush less a program of JC’s caliber.

That’s fair. And like last year, Pikeville was loaded and pulled out a huge win that I’m sure not only made y’all better but made the kids feel like no one on earth could play with them. I feel like a JC Paintsville game no one would get anything out of it except maybe kids hurt from an already low roster. I don’t have a dog in the fight, but just an outsiders view.
