If there is a season. I donât see governor allowing sports with high contact to be play this year unless a vaccine is found. With the guidelines for low contact sports that was released yesterday. I donât see high contact sports to have a season. Low contact sports are only allow to play in own county or community.

I think you are right

People love to look for the negative. If the SEC is playing football, I like the odds of playing high school basketball in six months. Are we going to shut down sports for a year?

Just personal opinions but I think we will have basketball with practice beginning in December and the season starting in January.
The high school football seasons, as well as sports such as volleyball, may be a little more iffy.
I think the high school golf season, which is a non-contact sport, will be played on schedule with certain Covid19 precautionary guidelines in place.

IMO I believe we wonât have a season, season starting at same time flu season starts. I remember last year teams canceled several games because of the flu, add covid to that and just to much. Now some states that has republican governors may allow it. I donât think ours will.

I think theyâll look at results of youth sports opening back up and decide from there. Big spike in cases, no high school sports but if no big increase, HS sports are on.

Y'all the KHSAA will either have everything or have nothing in my opinion.
I'm an esports coach and we had waivers to let kids play from home but they still shut it down.

I look for Basketball to be played after January 1st. Maybe a 20 game season. The NCAA tournament is at Rupp next year so they canât push the Sweet 16 back unless they push it way back or move it.

However if there no vaccine plus students are not going to in school. Than I donât see a basketball season. Just hope players get to play.

I don't see life stopping for a year because of this, especially when almost no teenagers have been affected.

If there is a spike in cases you can bank it that there wonât be any fall sports. Khsaa said in their video meeting on May 28,2020 that they go bye what governor put out there.

I donât think knott county get any transfer. Since B.B. has been coaching at Knott central there have been very few transfers to knott county boys basketball team. I know people will say they got players from JBS but got to remember those players played middle school basketball in knott county grade school system. Cameron came to knott county with his dad when he got assistant job at KCC.

Look for Leslie County to be in top 5 or 6 in Region.

Leslie returns 5 starters. Should make a lot of noise this season.

With Wilgus Tolson, (which should be the top contender for #1 player in the region) along with Jazz Johnson, Sawyer Thompson and Skylar Richie, Wolfe county has the best team in the history of WCHS basketball. Jazz, Sawyer and Richie should all be credited as top 10. They also have very experienced support with Elijah Tolson, Cody Peyton which could start on any team in the region. In the second part of last season Wilgus Tolson finally put all the pieces together. The kid is an unbelievably exciting player to watch and his talent is on another level. Jazz Johnson is going to be a beast in his senior year. I look for him to add consistency to his game and improve his intensity into the 4th quarter. In Sawyer Thompson’s junior season I look for him to make a big jump as he improves his ability to drive the lane. Skylar Richie has already added a couple inches to his tall frame and he gives the Wolves something they always seem to lack, which is an inside presence. If Richie keeps working hard, the Sky is the limit for this young man.
My Region 14 top 10 picks for next season are:
1. Wolfe County
2. Knott County
3. Buckhorn
4. Breathitt
5. Leslie
6. Hazard
7. Perry
8. Cordia
9. Estill
10. Powell
