On April 2, IMHE predicted that 5,733 Tennesseans would be hospitalized today because of the Wuhan coronavirus, with 955 of those patients on ventilators. The actual numbers? A total of 328 people have been hospitalized.

The IMHE model of Wuhan coronavirus hospitalizations, which is being used to justify nationwide lockdowns and the wholesale destruction of the U.S. economy, continues to be garbage. On April 2, it claimed 193,165 Americans would be hospitalized today. The real number? 27,069.

None of the people insisting you destroy your livelihood in the name of “the greater good” are in your shoes. They’re all getting a paycheck. They’re blogging from their couches, destroying your liberty by decree, or butchering crappy music on Instagram from a Hollywood mansion.

Estimated IHME US Coronavirus Deaths Now at 81,766 or the Same Numbers as the 2017 Flu Season https://thegatewaypundit.com/2020/04/est...lu-season/ via
@gatewaypundit
The projections of the number of cases/deaths has been lowered. My guess is that social distancing and a probable treatment for Covid19 has had a positive effect. Bill Gates funded a program that produced a possible vaccine. Human trials are underway as of yesterday. (I wouldn't volunteer for THAT study for all the tea in China)

I think that the attention being given to Covid19 is valid. Swine flu sickened of 61M people at a mortality rate of 0.02% H1N1 sickened 22M people at a mortality rate of 0.02%. 2017-2018 flu season effected 35.5M with a mortality rate of 0.09%. These numbers represent a 12 month time period.

In approximately 5 months, Covid19 has sickened 368K with a mortality rate of 2.9%. Some hot spots are worse like New York state who as 132K with a mortality rate of 3.8%.

Covid19 has some other factors that make it more concerning; including a higher incubation time and an increased contagious parameter. It has now jumped species.

I'm not saying it's time to panic, but I am taking this very seriously.

I admit I have not researched the prophecies of the great CatTurd or contacted gatewaypundit. I have looked at CDC, but more of my information is taken from sites that I believe are more apolitical than others such as Johns Hopkins.

Be safe BGR Family. My love and prayers to every single one of you.
“The early predictions of the COVID-19's expected death toll in the U.S. assumed about half of Americans "would pay attention to the recommendations," CDC Director Robert Redfield said Monday in an interview with AM 1030 KVOI Radio in Tucson, Ariz.”

"What we're seeing is a large majority of the American public are taking the social distancing recommendations to heart," he said. "And I think that's the direct consequence of why you're seeing the numbers are going to be much, much, much, much lower than would have been predicted by the models."

The model the White House trotted out last week assumed "full social distancing" from the beginning--lockdowns, school/business closures, travel restrictions, etc. This whole "the models weren't wrong" dog ain't gonna hunt.

Have savings to pay rent or mortgage for 6 months? Great. Most don’t. Have a steady job that guarantees you a paycheck every month? Great. Many don’t.

Don’t forget that you have the luxury to be hysterical about the virus, and to push for draconian, maximalist polices.

IMHE projections for Virginia dropped today to 891 deaths, needing 319 ICU beds, and needing 272 ventilators. A week ago, IMHE had projected 3,073 deaths, needing 918 beds, and needing 734 ventilators. Both projections assume(d) "full social distancing" through May.

IHME U.S. death toll numbers have fallen the past week from 93,000 to 81,000 to roughly 60,000 today. That's more than a 30% drop in a short span. Hopefully the trend continues. One would think this would be top story on the news but seems hard to find:
