Leslie County 60 Buckhorn 50

Leslie takes down a top 5 team in the region according to most.. wonder if they still not considered a top ten 😆
#2
Eagles stay red hot.
#3
Nice win!!

Good win for the Eagles. They’ve been playing their best basketball as of late.

For the non-eagle fans, you guys need to be rooting for Leslie when they take on Hazard next Tuesday. Nobody wants to have to play Hazard in the regional tournament with their talent and experience.

Rather see hazard win than cheer for leslie
#6
🤣🤣🤣 Deep hatred from the little Bobcat fans on here 🤣🤣🤣
#7
Leslie came out ready and buckhorn didn’t they made them pay for it

I will be rooting for Buckhorn in the tourney. They have great tradition over there and they play so hard. They do things the right way.
#9
Good win by Leslie. I will be pulling for them in districts
#10
Would absolutely love to see Buckhorn and Leslie in the District championship.
#11
Leslie playing good ball right now but still left a lot of points on the court...a lot of missed layups and putbacks tonight. Good win though! Go Eagles!

Leslie seems to be putting some pieces into place at the right time. Buckhorn has a bad night. Seen them play much better. But still, Leslie has improved. Can they beat Hazard? I don’t think so, but should give them a really good game.

Nice win Eagles congrats. I have always thought any game in the district was going to be tough. I’m sure if u ask the coaches they would feel the same. The 54th district tournament is no cakewalk for anyone. One of the most competitive in the state.

You and every other coach and fan in the region would love to see the same thing. 🤣

Eagles controlled the whole game. No doubt who was gonna come out on top. Congrats to Leslie's Trenton Day on scoring his 1000th career point in this game as well.

I'm confident that Leslie will upset Hazard first round. Leslie is playing even better than they were when they played Hazard in their last meeting, and lost by 5. Dark Horse of the 14 Region.

Confident, eh? I love the enthusiasm. You have at least one Engineer fan pulling for the upset from afar!

I been looking at both teams Leslie matches up with Hazard better than anyone in the region. Leslie has 2 bigs that can match up with theirs. No1 on hazards team can guard Trent Day man to man. Pelfery is an outstanding player but Leslie also has the best defender in the region with Trent Asher. If Leslies Bigs come to play and contain Hall this game is going to be wild. Not to mention Jason Baker has being playing like a man past 3 games and has been unstoppable in the post!

Leslie bigs are no where near as good as Hazard bigs. Day is a good player I will give you that. Trent is a good defender, but Wade has faced the best defenders all year. you say Leslie matches up the best with Hazard, but hazard struggles against teams that are really quick or have a bunch of athletes, Lelsie does not have that kind of team. Good Luck to both teams

I can agree with you to a certain extent. Hazard bigs are very sound and know their roll probably as good as anyone when heathy. Leslies big are only juniors and are more improved than any players I've seen this year. Hazard can't guard man to man and if they try Leslie will score anytime they chose. Leslie also struggles with man to man defense at times. When Leslie went zone the last match up Hazard killed them with the 3 ball. Leslie technically won all 3 quarters but the 2nd quarter where they only scored 3points. The best athlete Leslie has is the Asher kid (4.5 40 yd fast and is physically stronger than any of hazards guard because he's a football player) and he's easily a top 2 defender in the region with the debate him or Reed. Bottom line is if Asher can keep wade out of the game and slow him down keep Hall off the boards they will win the game. Hazard doesn't have any athlete to stop Trent Day. (Reed and Perry couldn't even stay man to man vs Leslie) I assume they will go zone. So Leslie will have to be able to school the ball to win the game. Lot of scenarios you could say about the game. Should be an amazing 1st round game!

Wade has faced Trent Asher once already this year. Wade was held to 1 field goal in the second half and 3 field goals for the whole game. Pelfry is a good player, but Trent Asher is a nightmare for Him. The baker big jumps out of the gym. That have plenty of athleticism

Should be a game for the ages.
