From the sounds of it, wasnât from a lack of trying. Running down the lane and throwing it up against 3 defenders..Iâm no math whiz, but if the defense collapses on you, somebody is open..pass the ball.

Anybody know how many points Sheppard scored for NL?

You nailed it on the head. 2 kids trying to get their 20 each and not worrying about the score board. Very selfish. From what I heard on radio

Only 12 last night. Which I think is a great sign for North. Kelley had 23, Davidson 17, Alexander 13, when North is balanced they have four guys you have to guard, makes them a much better team.

Never thought Knott would lose like this. Is this a correct score.

Hazard plays over there this weekend. It will be interesting to see how they fare at North. The Bulldogs are still the favorite for regional champ although some including me think Knott will be hard to beat in the region at home.

Knott had their biggest kid in foul trouble and played only 13 or so minutes in the game.
The four and Five spot only yielded 11 rebounds when Williams usually gets 10-15 boards by himself and Smith chips in 8-10.
Big game changer with no inside presence against a very balanced and athletic North Laurel team.
The got pretty one dimensional, tried to run and shoot with North Laurel.
Game got out of control when he was out of the game, played North Laurelâs pace, took a big loss.

Wonder what the foul count was? Bet they didnât shoot 38 foul shots like they did against Wolfe.

The inside presence they missed, is McGuire boy. He pulled defense away from wings and helped Williams block out. He forced opponents to change up their shots. A difference maker type. He was one of my favorites to watch in region, along with Pelfrey. Iâm an old school player. Like team work. Something Knott will need to work on or even an home court advantage wonât help them. Hazard plays best team ball in the region. And thatâs why they win.

No doubt they missed McGuire, a player like that cannot be replaced. He is probably the best big in the Region, and one of the best in the state. That being said he is out for the near future at the least.
Of the players they had available, they had no inside presence with Williams out (the biggest available player), with foul trouble. Knott had virtually no rebounding on defense and as a team gave North Laurel too many second chances at the basket.
They may have not been able to win this game anyway, but with a team that shoots as good as North Laurel, you canât give them second chances when they do miss.

FatPat my friend after last nite u need to pass the word to your coaches STAY AWAY from NORTH LAUREL they treated the girls about as rough as they did the boys. Brown Sugar cant handle that kind of abuse.
