To a State Champion and a State Champion: Beechwood?
2018- 45 to Mayfield, 21 to Central state championship
Were these two teams State Champions?
No dought the redhound nation has hired a defensive specialist.
It doesnât appear that the teams Corbin gave all those points up to were middle of the road teams. Any chance those opponentâs scoring opportunities had to do with offensive missteps? 3 and outs? Turnovers? Play Calling? Lack of discipline? It would be interesting to take a look at the Corbin offense in those games to see if they were able to seize the opportunities they had to score and keep the Redhound defense off of the field.

well it's bed time can't get a discussion so I think it's time to go to bed, remember the Hounds have Whitley (sure would not want to be the first coach to lose to Whitley County) your new coach is 1-2 against Whitley. Good luck beating Bowling Green, Beechwood, Somerset and Wayne County 2X good night.:biglmao:

Agree thatâs a low blow. If Big Ben actually had any Corbin attire I hope like hell its traded in for another teams colors. Donât want that lack of character rubbing off anywhere near Campbell field.

Lost to undefeated STATE CHAMPS Boyle. mayfield is a lie- Corbin defeated RUNNER UP Mayfield 20-17. But did lose a 6 point nail biter 29-36 to STATE CHAMP Beechwood the week before.

Of the teams you just mentioned- all but 2 were either state champions or runners up. (Knox and 2016 mayfield). Do you expect to shut those teams out? Those were the best in KY.
I didnât want to have to make this post and point out your idiocracy here. But you made me do it, at 1AM nonetheless.

Lots of Facts. Lots of excuses.
At the end of the Day, this shouldve never happened. You can search my posts from Day 1. I wasnât a fan of Haddix in the beginning. But over a year or so he changed my mind. He was the best coach for our kids. He called a fun game that put fans in the stands and he believe it or not built the Redhounds back to where we once were way back. The Community loved him. He made sure the kids looked good and had the best of everything. He used his connections to get the names out to college coaches that he knows.
The reason I continue to bring that up, is because it will take a fiery younger coach that can get down to these kids level to make the game fun, not a job. Tommy is a pretty darn good defensive coach. He is also a politician, and will back stab, and lastly he is about his name and filling the bank up with as much green as possible. He is the Assistant Superintendent for goodness sakes. How many other coaches nationwide carry so many titles. He seen to it that this happened just the way it did. Because he was in the position to make the previous decisions for the last season. Sorry, Iâm not a fan of what the administration has done, allowed. To me, the only thing he will do that the last coach couldnât do is call the Defense. I expect Buckner to stay and call the offense. Jody will be back. Mills will be back. Scottie will be gone. Hart will definitely be lucky if he stays. If he does, he will be coaching a different position. Lewallen will also be in a different position. The last 2 needed changed anyways.
I will be following to see how many kids leave for Williamsburg, Whitley. But the board, committee and Superintendent have blown this up. As I said, you wonât miss me in the red chair I paid good money for at the 45 yard line. But strength is in numbers. There will be many red chairs stay on the rack and not in the bleachers! Corbin and the good ol boys just laid an egg. I guess Iâm just different from you old hounds. I have the ability to open my eyes to the situation as a whole, and it doesnât have to be OK with me. You old hounds canât make me like it.

And youâve been no more upset about this than I have but Haddix is gone partner...You gonna cancel the season and disband the football team cause a coach left? Iâd like for you to stay with us and support the kids, thereâll be a day at the polls that you can take action against some of what youâve talked about...A lot of what youâve posted is pure speculation Russel and Hart arenât going anywhere and while Iâd love to have Mills back (why wouldnât you) I highly doubt that happens...All that being said I canât force you to do anything and if itâs this easy for you to walk away then Bye...

Only speculation Iâve posted is with a few of the Assistants. The rest are truths. And anyone that knows anything about Corbin football knows it.

Itâs also speculation about kids leaving, If they didnât leave with Haddix theyâre not gonna leave now...Werenât happy when Haddix was hired, not happy with Greer being hired kinda noting a trend here, just sayin...anyway your more than entitled to your opinion rock on...

He is and anyone that says otherwise don't know football. Pick any program and lets see if they lost games and give up points. I don't know any Defensive Coordinator that is perfect but I see some that are very good at what they do and they will win the majority of the time. There is a lot of factors that go into losses more than just looking at a final scores. Pick any program, Belfry, Johnson Central, Boyle county. They give up points in losses. For example, that would be like Bell, last year, they gave up 40 points in a win to South Laurel, 28 points in a win to Taylor county in the playoffs, and 30 points in a losing effort to Belfry. Yeah it sucks don't it to be reminded. Then in 2018 Bell gives up 22 points to Letcher, 26 points to Harlan, and 33 and 42 to Corbin but yet that bad Defensive Coordinator held Bell County's offense didn't he?

The assistants arenât going anywhere nor should they. Hart, Lewallen and Mouser (if he were offered a job) are all Corbin guys and have put in a lot of time with those kids. Pennies on the hour. They deserve our support. Feel the same about Russell. If Buckner is calling the plays thatâs a plus too as it will be a seamless transition.
This is an opportunity for them and I think they will all rise to the challenge.
Some of us are underestimating the unknown of bringing in an entirely new staff. We got lucky with Haddix but what happens if it doesnât work out?
What youâve got here is a core group of die hard Corbin Redhound coaches who understand how the recent success was achieved, and understand what it means to wear that jersey. You also have a mixture of some old school toughness that we honestly began to lack.
This was the best hire to make sure this team stays on track with the level of success we expect to have over the next few years.
Time will tell who was right. Iâll be here to own it.

Impressive stats none the less ^^^^^. I think this is exactly what the admin of Corbin wanted. Heck of a team returning and playmakers across the board with experience.

TG was at Corbin prior to the Haddix hire. He didnât apply and was not a candidate for the position at that time.
The former Union Coach was a candidate. May have had an offer contingent upon proper certification which he did not have.

Youâre thinking of former Union coach Tommy Reid. In fact I think he was hired but couldnât get an up to date teaching certification in time. Therefore, they went to plan B in Haddix.

I would like to see Buckner get a shot at oc. I like the way he coaches and already has a great relationship with the team. Does anyone know where Ricky Bowling is coaching at, he would be a great addition to our staff on the offensive side.
