Hazard played without Logan Hall and Al Holland wasnât there..Knott was without McGuire..1st half seemed like Hazard would pull away double digits, but second half Knott found some fire. Big game by Knottâs #5..Smith I believe..stepped up for Knott.

Smith and Slone 2 freshman combined for 16 points and 17 rebounds in their first real action of season. Smith 11 and 9, Slone 8 reb and 5 points on 3 shots, he handled ball well also had 3 assists. So those 2 freshman give the patriots a little hope. Plus Haddix when heâs hitting shots.

I was surprised to hear the score of this game. I wasn't there, but heard some details of the game. Sounds like the freshman Smith brought some energy to the team off the bench. They have suffered a big loss with the McGuire kid so Coach King needed this type of showing last night going into postseason.

I was in attendance for this game. I thought Hazard would surge ahead in this early. However, Knott played very well. Smith played exceptional and is a stud of a player. He got an opportunity to contribute and played almost flawless. Good rebounder and shoots the ball well. Higgins and Slone played well at times but struggled to find their niche a few times. However, they will get more comfortable as time goes on and both will be nice role players for the Patriots. Hats off to a good coaching strategy by Coach King and young players developing within the system. Coach Holland's presence not being there impacted the Bulldogs who still managed to win. Hazard is a solid and cohesive team. Both teams will be in the hunt in the regional. Pelphrey and running mate Napier are exciting to watch and Fletcher is an under rated player that gets the job done. Great atmosphere as well. Congratulations to the Bulldogs.
