Interesting PCC observation
#1
Did PCC have some new players at Hazard this weekend? Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t one of PCC’s players have a brother playing for Cordia? How does that work? Not surprised or anything Shannon hasn’t ever developed a team on his own yet why start now.
#2
I was in Smittys yesterday afternoon and they said two of the new kids were from New York. Saw them play one time and both of them are nice athletes. One of the Smith boys said Shannon had a 6'10 kid coming soon, probably be in right at Christmas Break supposedly. Perry gets a 6'10 might as well put their name on the region trophy.

Its amazing to me that the local parents, administrators, board members and KHSAA just look the other way with the PCC recruiting. It so blatantly obvious, didnt one of the kids who came to PCC this year post on his social media that he had made his high school "choice" ? Shameful
#4
It’s outrageous the way they recruit. It’s not only unfair to the kids at that particular school, but to all student athletes throughout the region and state.
#5
The tradition of Perry County Central Basketball is over. Their fans and former players that I talk to hate what’s going on and are embarrassed by it. Several former players have told me their kids won’t go through the program as it is now.

[Image: https://i.imgflip.com/3iztzp.jpg] Bolz the ole BOE sent the entourage on a spy mission back to ground zero Circle T! Results are in after 4 weeks of research and the tunnel is more complex than we thought of how recruits are being brought in! Wowza! Sent JT the map and said baby youz got to build the freaking wall cuz Hosky has set up a recruiting campaign like no other. #6thman #wezseeyou More mash taters please!!!

YUP YUP.....I am personally impressed with the detailed map of the mine system that the recruits are coming through.Confusedhh: Very intricate.

LOL @ FATPAT!:biglmao: Funny stuff!

PCC has been mining for 6'10" ball players....LOL

They have to make the hole a little bigger so the bug dude can get thru. Hes coming.
#10
Wonder what would happen if nobody would schedule them?

Fatpat finally getting off the couch?
#12
PCC used to produce some pretty good home grown talent. Not sure what has happened in the last 10 years.
#13
Well the recruiting kick started about 10 years ago in basketball. That may of had something to do with it. Didnt matter how hard a county kid worked or improved, Perry was gonna bring someone in to replace them. But maybe there isnt any talent. Not sure about the whole situation at Perry. All I know is, Cordia Basketball Academy has a nice team of out of state talent. Good win for coach Fugate last night.

[Image: https://i.imgflip.com/3j57l0.jpg] Strikey got a late start after the celebration at the White Yellow Mash tater tourney victory! Ct and Magz called said no school baby and be by in 10 to get you bruh! Magz pulled in with a truck and trailer and equipment! Said baby we got some more digging to do! Put on the ole wife beater shirt and headed out with the entourage to ground zero! Espionage and undercover operator baby! #archeology101 #digginglikeamutha #gettingtothebottom More mash taters please!!!

Crazy how those kids come up there legally from New York. That excess coal money sure finds it's way into some funny circumstances. Us dirt farmin' flat landers don't even have tobacco to fall back on anymore much less a recruit mine. LOL Reckon we'll just have to live with mediocre basketball here. Except for up there in Scott County where they are being sponsored by that high falutin' car plant money.

Bolz, a major news story has just broke inside the complex tunnel system in Perry county. A copy of the adoption papers being used by Adopting Shannon has been accidentally found, wowza! Ole fatpat found a piece of paper about 10 feet inside the tunnel to wipe his mouth after a much needed snack of a bucket of fried chicken (sponsored by Circle T) and CT noticed ink smears on my face, double wowza!!

After your game tonite FatPat u may want to open up a recruiting tunnel
#19
With loss yesterday, I wonder if the roster will be "upgraded" soon ?
#20
Recruiting Guru Heston Beverly is back on the Perry Central train now from what I am hearing. That means Perry will be bringing in a 2,3,4, and a 5 soon. Its about to get real now at PCC.

Frowny my boi, ole fatpat is moving fast bruthat to try to keep up with adoptin Shannon. That Brutha has already pulled some trickery on Big Al and company. The King said he was sending a convoy of tater trucks over to fill up the entry points to the tunnel. He said if ole fatpat gets stuck in the tunnel he knows that he can eat his way out, wowza!

Fatty r u trying to say Big Al is getting easy to trick in his old age?

They have started off a little tough this year with 2-4 in the first 6 games. Last time they started off 2-4 was Hatchers first year there. I’m sure they won’t stay down, they’ll have someone new on the roster before long.

Serious question here. How many transfers are on Perry's team this year? Perry getting lots of criticism and other teams have had legitimate transfers as some teams do during the year. Not sure what happened with Beverly but he's back at Perry and played last night. Nice addition to the Commodores and he's from the Perry feeder system if I'm not mistaken.

Several parents and players are upset still but do so silently anymore to their friends and families. After a while of seeing it over and over, the hometown kids either turn to football, soccer, or any other sport. They get tired of waiting their turn. What has happened to the Perry that used to develop their own players and the great days of Perry and Hazard rivalry games where the kids were from here. I'll always support Perry and Hazard and some recruiting has been done by both schools but I agree that Perry has raised it another notch.
#27
Theres one coming soon. 6'9 from Queens. All I can say right now. Perry simply will refuse to lose.

Here is who made it into the box score for the last game they reported stats (Anderson County)

Reed, DAndre
Brock, Dylan
Cornett, Dylan
Fugate, Cameron
Day, Tyler
McAlarnis, Mason
Sanders, Jayden
Duff, Dawson

Since then they added Beverly, but no one was complaining about him transferring to Hazard, so I guess he’s exempt from this.

I wonder what got people upset about Frazier and Reed, but doesn’t upset them about a kid like Beverly transferring?

I think I know what it is, but I’ll leave it to your all’s imaginations.

How is that possible to get them eligible so quickly? Leslie lost Whitaker, a Leslie County stud, last year that just happens to land in Knott which was suspicious altogether. Perry just keeps building. Glad for the kids if they are looking for a better atmosphere and to get away from the inner city problems perhaps but to land in southeastern Kentucky is odd to lots of people. Coincidence? Maybe.

I am hearing that a lot of people in Perry County are fed up with the feeder system that is in place, the recruiting pipeline that is strictly for basketball. I am taking about administrators, teachers, board office etc., "embarrassing" is the word I keep hearing and there is some fear that KHSAA may be actually looking into the "recruiting" part and there may have had some unofficial mandate from new state board of ed to look at the problem (and it is a problem), from the perspective of the State Board of Education and commissioner of education; could be nothing to this rumor, but I know that it is being talked about. Time will tell
