That very well may be the case, Collins is a very special player. But I do want to point out that there have been multiple times this year when this exact statement was made before Somerset faced a specific opposing player, and every time Kade Grundy outplayed them.

pirateforlife Wrote:No I haven't but I have Collins for Breathitt. He was player of the year in his district last year at Anderson County in 5a.
He is a very good running back. Somerset has the returning district POY and the current district POY on this team.
Jase Bruner - LB won it last year
Kaiya Sheron - QB this year
Kade is an all American baseball player, super athlete. Really looking forward to Breathitt coming to town in 6 days.

As Mr. T would say, "Pain", for Breathitt. Jumpers going away, something like 35-7. Competitive at times, but in the end, similar to Johnson Central vs Wayne.

I think anyone that thinks Breathitt puts up a bunch of points on this Somerset defense is Cousin Eddie's less intelligent cousin who doesn't care of the sh**ter is full.

BC is almost like another county team that starts with B, I just donât think theyâve played a team like somerset, so itâs hard to gauge them because of it. WV was decent, letâs be honest about it. But the bunnies would put a running clock on them.

Really doesnât matter but any thoughts on BCs record were they to have played Somersetâs schedule?
I would say breathitt would be around 11-2 or close to that with the schedule given credit to Lca and some of the other teams Somerset has played but also given credit to breathitt as this is a good team and not the push over a lot of people are saying they are

Here is where the Breathitt County schedule will absolutely kill them. They have blown out about everyone they've played but hasn't played a team like Somerset and it's going to expose them. And like a poster said a few weeks back, with all the running clocks it allowed the Bobcats to stay healthy and rest the starters for half of most games. Did that help or hurt? Will the starters be able to play a tough four quarters of smash mouth football or has all that rest and not playing entire games against a quality opponent not prepared them, stamina wise, to go a complete game?
I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am. The Bobcats has had an outstanding season, no doubt, but I just can't see it continuing past this coming Friday. But we will see. Like I always say, anything can happen on a Friday night football field. Good luck to both teams.

Your very right about stamina I saw that vs WV. They were very tired. I donât think Somerset has more athletes than Breathitt, the Bobcats could go toe to toe with any team in 2A. I worry about two things Stamina for Bobcats all 4 Quarters, also worry about Somerset hard nose running style. I hear posters on here say that Bobcats score one or two Td the whole game that is crazy. This will be a really good game Somerset maybe beat Bobcats 2Tds. But if Bobcats can pull off some turnovers of defense some how and get some big stops on defense. The Bobcats can win. I will be cheer on this team no matter if win or loss at Somerset on Friday. This bunch Seniors didnât even have middle school football or Grade school football at all. Didnât get play a game of football until freshman year. ( Glad that has changed)What these coaches and players have done is quite remarkable. Super proud of this Team!!! It will be a dawg fight on Friday Go Bobcats.

C'mon man. Don't back off now and say Somerset might beat the Bobcats by 2 touchdowns or that if Breathitt can somehow get some turnovers they can win. You said that Breathitt was 2 touchdowns better than Somerset. Don't try and get humble now, we remember what you said. Own it. It's right there for everyone to see.

Somerset is probably the best program WITHOUT a State Championship in their schools history. Paintsville and Raceland could both make the same argument. Iâd like to see the Bunnies get them one, but I do have a bunch of buddies from Breathitt so I cheer for them.
Breathitt may just go down there and pull it off. They do have some athletes, BUT their defense is gonna have to step up.

The best anyone could hope for in these kind of games is for both teams to be injury free. This should be a close hard fought game and the winner gets to play a team that will be just as good and just as hungry for the title.

Somerset offense will be too much for the Bobcats. Bobcats have played a cake schedule (opponents are 54-88, prior to WV game over half off those wins came from 2 teams!) Bobcats haven't faced on offense that has thrown for over 1244 (Leslie County was the highest) yards for the season, that is less than Grundy has caught alone this year (1245). Sheron has thrown for 2834 yards against much better competition. If they happen to stop the passing game (which they won't), Somerset will run run run all over the Bobcats. Bruner, Austin, Smith, Garland, and Bailey, take your pick, you will probably get a dose of all of them.
Bobcats have had a cake schedule but it ends on Friday with the Jumpers heading to Kroger Field.

You are whatâs wrong with this site you canât give credit to the kids that play there hearts out for the name of the front of the jersey but you have to find a way to take away from all the hard work these kids do day in and day out. Letâs let the kids settle this on the field and if you overlook the bobcats you will be sitting at home when breathitt plays for the title

You can look at stats but with the rain forecasted Friday night I have to go with the bobcats due to it being a running kind of night and Collins is better than somerset running game

His brother is also helping. Will Thomas is helping with the line and running game.
