Corbin @ Wayne 11/15

Bull got out! Wrote:That’s also how I feel about our boys, Longmire, Wine, Steely, Patterson, Shelton and Big Yeager that can change a game in a heartbeat. When we spread the field, it’s hard to stop all these boys. Our offense is on fire as well! I’d say get your tickets now, between Wayne’s all stars and Corbins all stars, you will get moneys worth.
Everyone talks about how young Corbin is but your six stars are 10th grader (started last year in finals) 12th grader, 12th,12th, 9th grader (yes young) 12th grader.
4 senior studs are not young.

Dud- Young an inexperience is two different things. Your not young, 3 juniors on OL and 2 seniors.. Stop making excuses for losing games.

Hound05 Wrote:Oh yea you’re absolutely right. I won’t ever sell our kids ability short. Longmire has the talent to be the best player in the state the next two years, if he puts in the work. Patterson will only continue to improve, and at his size already, he’s dangerous. Yeager, not many people regardless of class are stopping him one on one once he gets those legs pumping. Heck most of the time it takes 2 or 3 anyways. Combs has tremendous upside as well, and the great thing is, we’ve got him for 3 more years. Wine to me is kind of like longmire, when he gets fire in his belly, watch out! We’ve got an amazing collection of talent, we’re just young. Don’t forget about our lineman either. We’ve got some amazing kids coming up. One kid is hurt, bruammett (spelling?), but I think he would have seen the field some this year if not injured, as a freshman. The Faulkner kid is pretty good as well, he’ll see the field next year too.

I honestly think we’ve got more talent across the board than Wayne. It’s getting them to focus, and play for each other and that “C” on their helmet. If they all played to the ability we know they have, they beat Wayne by 14+. But they are once again, young. They still have a learning curve to them, and lack experience compared to season teams. That’s why outside of our talent, our boys were so good last year. They had the time and experience put in. This group makes a lot of mistakes, that’s part of it. But we looked good last week, and since the beechwood game have played 10x better. We shot ourselves with Wayne the first go ‘around. We can’t do that again or we’ll be at home watching JC, Boyle, Wayne, and franklin.

Hound 05 I just think our boys needed some love. We got the athletes too, All the posters give all the glory to others. I feel like our YOUNG QB and our backfield and receivers are about to explode. Haddix don't give the ball to a single kid every play, one game they might not get the call and then another they get double duty. But he has developed a 6 headed monster in the process that will have to be dealt with. I'm proud of our boys win or lose. I know you and our fan base feels the same. I think the boys just put in 4 wheel drive and are ready to climb that mountain.

You like sugar or cream in that coffee. Corbin Younnnnnnnng son. I coached another sport and maybe to some people they get on a computer and look at a team that way, I look a team in person and talent wise. You know, you can be a senior and it be your first game, but that was 10 games ago, we got experience now. Were good. Ill tell you the way I see it, after we climb that mountain, anything's possible. This year or next. I do see what your saying, but keep in mind, playing under Haddix and learning a complex system don't happen overnight. They don't run off tackle or simple stuff. And that showed in a lot of the games this year. But make no mistake about it, they are looking good right now. I will never make a excuse for losing a game, all hats off to the teams that beat Corbin. I watched all the games. I will say they also had a chance to win all those games but one. If you want my honest opinion, Somerset game had a 2 point conversion that very easily could have went our way. It didn't and so be it. This team is on the edge of running down hill. Our defense is playing ball. I saw that after the Beechwood game. Now that our offense is catching fire, our team is the real deal Holyfield. I got a pot coffee! Listen I don't knock Wayne any, there as good as advertised. Heck of a team. it will be a battle. These two teams know what there up against. This will be the last game for one group of seniors. So as parents, cheer hard and love our kids, this is what it is all about. Whether its our kids or Wayne's kids, there still someone's kids brother. We all love the game and love to jab each other, but I respect the game enough and the kids to appreciate what is at stake.

Corbin took a big hit losing Greer. It’s showing this season.
