Mayfield vs Murray
#31
We cant move the light pole. I'm pretty sure that you could say the same about any stadium. The bathrooms were just renovated and while they are old, still serve their purpose. There is dressing rooms. They may not like the dressing rooms, however, they are there.

The Home side bleachers are cold solid concrete with no seats and so steep if you stand up you think you are going to fall on the field. You usually need rubber boots in the men's rest room. You name its a hard place to watch much less play. Only thing is they win 99.9999 % of the time. So when they say running clock, Mayfield by a Hundred or whatever it will probably come true.

No light pole is there Blue, you must be thinking of somewhere else, the poles are behind the bleachers. The restrooms have been updated and are fine. I am thinking you have not been to the stadium in years. There are locker rooms. They are far from state of the art. There has been talk of new ones. There are metal seats from the 40 to the 40, or maybe the 30 but I think its the 40. Having no track makes it a great place to watch, you are closer. I am bias but I think it is the best place to watch a game around. The end zone is special, I do not know of anywhere else you can go and get a college type atmosphere from the end zone to the massive seating capacity that is generally pretty full. I love the old stadium, it is a unique place to see a game.

I thought they dressing rooms but a post last week or so showed benches under the Stadium that were outside I guess that was just being clever again. Got me on that one. Is there a pole or not on the visitors side in front of the stands. One says yes one says no?

I have never sat on the visitors side and have encountered the light poles behind the bleachers so I went and looked at a pic and sure enough the lights above the 50 yard line are in front of the stands. I never realized it, the other poles are back out of the way but that bad boy is in a bad spot. The home side metal bleachers run 35 to 35 not 40 to 40.

Here is a link showing several pics of War Memorialhttps://www.google.com/maps/place/War+Me...88.6470891

Not like it's big.

I've sat over there several times when Mayfield was the vistors against Graves, never noticed it.

JP-lately it seems I'm always at odds with what you are saying. Mostly, I tend to agree with you, but when you make a statement like the one above I am compelled to get the facts straight.

.08 are the outliers and are known as "designated drivers".

The stadium itself isn't very intimidating but the locker-room is a dump and a joke.

Murray in a upset

Most of the folks who complain about War Memorial do so because your derriere was kicked. War Memorial is what it is. That fact that Mayfield is able to win in those austere facilities sort of makes the case that its not the facilities that makes the team. There is a light pole in front of the stands on the vistor's side but it has never kept me from watching my team lose.

Seriously why doesn't Mayfield have a play clock, you would think it would be required by the KHSAA?

Well, for starters, we don't have the money that McCracken has. I don't understand why the play clock is such an issue. The play clock is kept by the refs on the field. Do you really think we are gaining some advantage by not having them in each end zone?. If you are concerned about the time, watch the back judge. He will raise his hand when there is 10 seconds left. Then once it gets to five, he will start swinging the hand for each second down to 1. It serves the exact same purpose and doesn't cost hundreds, if not thousands to purchase.

I would much rather have nice new uniforms, new rings, new scoreboard and repairs to the stadium than to have a play clock.

A look ahead. The weather is favoring OC next Friday when they come to War Memorial. They definitely need to stop our passing game in order to play close. Well, it's supposed to rain next Friday. May affect the running clock on OC.

They are big time passers themselves with Mr. Edge

The actual reason is that Coach Morris said he did not want one. After the tornado hit the stadium several years ago and took out the scoreboard a soft drink company offered to put in a scoreboard and 30 second clocks but Morris did not want it. That is what I was told at the time, how true that is I cant say but that is what was told.

The arrogance is real

Why exactly does it have to be arrogance. Watch what happens. We will most likely put a running clock on them. They are not as good as Murray and we already did that once to them. It’s not arrogance, it’s a prediction and will most likely be exactly what occurs.
#55
Probably only a 50/50 chance of even playing Owensboro Catholic this season.

You literally just discredit your opponent tomorrow by saying well next week when we play it will be this kind of weather hopefully the upset occurs tomorrow I would love to hear the excuse for that

Hog it was a joke. I wish we had fans like that at our school. Lone Oak lost its sense if community with the Consolidation. We averaged more fans than McCracken has had to date. Really meant nothing bad.

Should mayfield and OC both win tomorrow night, won’t they meet next week?

Seriously??? We are playing Murray with their back up qb. We just put a running clock on them in the rain with them having their starting AB for almost a whole half. So, I think we are okay.

OC is also playing a team they already beat down.

I would say it’s more like 90/10 chance.
