I hate games like this Belfry should win and big but just like 98 and 09 when they should have won big against a district foe they beat earlier in the year bad things happened.

Pirates 44
Hawks 21

So PC only uses one guard to pull? Sounds like an easier gameplan for defensive coaches. But if the QB and RB and both out then this will be a running clock 1st half. That's basically been their whole offense all season

Although we came out victorious last night, it came with a hefty price as our starting QB Tyler Hunt was injured in the closing moments of the game following a big run against the Bulldogs. It's a broken collarbone and unfortunately it spells the end of his career as a Hawk. It's always heartbreaking to lose a senior to injury before he can finish what he started.

As for the other players mentioned, Hawk32 mentioned pulling guard. He's referring to G/LB Nate Roberts. He is a little bit banged up, but I think he's going to rest up and he should be fine for next week.

Matt Anderson did not finish the game last night, I still believe that they are managing his reps. Although he may also have slightly tweaked his injury last night. His status will be monitored throughout the week.

Congratulations on last night’s win. Hate to hear about all the injuries. Definitely a tough hill to climb with limited depth.

No problem for Belfry in this one. Hope these players heal up completely for Pike Central.
#23
I hate all the injuries, but especially to Hunt, He is a really good player and they will miss him a lot. I just don't believe the Hawks have near enough firepower to compete with the Pirates.

In my opinion, Tyler Hunt is the heart and soul of the team. At least he was when Pike Central played Breathitt. He is a very good athlete, and he is very accurate throwing out routes. This is one player that Pike Central couldn't afford to lose. With that being said, the Pirates will be too much for the Hawks, but Pike Central has had a good year and they have a lot of positive momentum heading into the future. Belfry wins 42-7. Good luck to both teams.

Just a rumor, but I’m hearing the Anderson kid is seriously considering a transfer. Any truth to that, or just idle chatter?
