Showdown for the 3A District 5 championship.

Bell County comes in with a perfect 11-0 record while Rockcastle sits at 8-3. The Bobcats won the regular season game 39-6. Can the Rockets pull the upset or will Bell County move on?

This to me will be the hardest test Bell will have to date. Basically for two reason’s 1. We have already played each other. Both teams know what to except they had an ideal before the first
matchup now that it’s happen they understand more.
2. Rockcastle has been on a hot streak every since the loss 39-6. Rock moved the ball well just turn over on downs inside bell territory 3-4 times just wasn’t able to punch it in. This mainly goes back to the offense that didn’t have an identity. Now we do. Much improved offense with a solid defense.

Should be a great game!

We did handle Lincoln easy shut them down held them to total yards of under 150 an only 7 points last week. Last night we easily defeated Estill 50-14. Lincoln hung 33 on Wayne an over 300+ yards of offense in a 56-33 loss an Bell beat Estill 55-12. Were alit better team then when we met Bell the first time not saying we beat them but feel we can compete with them. Ever since the loss it’s been building towards a rematch we handled everyone since the loss with ease gaining confidence the entire way while bonding together an growing as a team. Our offense is clicking an so is our defense. I think this game will be a lot closer than 40-14 or 42-14. Just my opinion if you have seen us play you would agree we have got a whole lot better an look primed we can’t play much better then we are so Bell will get our best of sure in the end it will remain to be seen if it’s even close enough to play spoiler but I think we hang around an have a shot I could be wrong but I hope not lol

We’re by no means a slow team. We held our own against Bell the first time just had drives stall out deep in bell territory. I don’t see drives stalling out with the offense we run now an the ability to throw the ball when needed. Corbin best Lincoln like 26-21 Lincoln isn’t a bad team. Rock and Bell handler everyone else in district with similar type scores.

He never broke one against us in the first meeting. He had 91 rushing yards an 158 passing yards. He is a tremendous athlete but they had over 250 rushing yards as a team on 36 attempts. We have done well against the run since then an made adjustments have to see if it’s enough to slow their offense down any.

Not saying anything negative about Bell they are well coached an a great team just don’t see why Rock keeps getting disrespected an automatically assumed a big loss. We may loose by 100 but we will line up an punch them in the mouth an see how they respond then our team has heart an will not quit it’s going to be a hard hitting game the first meeting was an this one with everything on the line I expect no different

I like Rockcastle and think it will be a hard fought game, but Bell County might have too many weapons and playing on Log Mountain.

Dudley prob won’t turn London loose much running the ball until 3rd or 4th round. Hasn’t really had to use it yet.

Also having Chandler Mink eligible will also help. Transfer from Middlesboro. Had a nice 40 yard TD catch last night. Did not play against Rock one game.

91 yards on 10 carries. So 9.1 ypc. Pretty good if you ask me. Imagine if he had more touches? Who knows. He may get 20 this game.
