When the Major League Baseball playoff started a Texas man places a $3.5 million bet on the Houston Astros. Last night the Astros lost to the Washington Senators in game 7 of the World Series. After reading the whole story I realized Mack actually stood to lose more money if the Astros had won the World Series. Mattress Mack owns a furniture store and he promised to refund purchases of $3,000 or more made at his store if the Astros won the WOrld Series. The bet would have off set his losses had the Astros won. In 2017 Mack ran the same promotion and lost $10 million when the Astros won the W orld Series.
