NCC sneaking up.

None of it matters, I'm just curious. Hazard beats Paintsville. Paintsville and Raceland barely lose to Pikeville, paintsville barely beats Raceland. Pikeville blasts Hazard. How does anyone decipher anything beyond Pikeville being number 1?lol

Very true. It doesn’t matter what I think but Paintsville was starting a freshman QB in his 1st start at Hazard and J. Allen was injured during the game.

But I agree, it is Pikeville and then a bunch of teams that are underdogs against them.

Biggest mystery is NCC. We all think they aren’t elite this year but we also know they have brand recognition. Hopefully Friday tells us what they are but it is also a rivalry game so it might not tell us the true story.

Considering Paintsville was without 2 of their best players against Hazard I could say that they should only be second to Pikeville!
#6
If that's the case Raceland should be 3rd. I think we are all looking too much at the east and how they have faired against each other. In years past it would make sense, but after the district round of the playoffs, all that goes out the window. Does anyone know how the district championship is decided? Is it in the post season or regular season?
#7
NCC and KCD may be a little better than they are getting credit for. Winning regular season district championship is nice but moving on to the third round is better.

Who wins tie breaker in Holy Cross, Bethlehem and Campbellsville district.
#9
I was wondering the same thing. Are there any more 3 team or 5 districts?

Just looked on KHSAA web site and they have form showing those three teams. Says nothing would be final until after 11/1. Looks like right now Holy Cross if I understand the form maybe.....

I don't think any of this is going to matter. Pikeville is a machine and I don't see anybody beating the Panthers this year, I really don't. They've won big and they've won the close ones. They can beat you in all three phases of the game. And they seem to be skilled at every position. If they have a weakness, I sure don't see it. Out of all six classes, 1A is the one I would feel most confident in picking the champs. But anything can happen. Nothing is a sure a sure thing.

I’ve watched KCD in person. They aren’t better than what we’re giving them. They would get smoked in the East.

Interesting thing I noticed when I looked at Calpreps. KCDs BEST win is over #8004 Washington County by 2 points.

Pikeville’s best win is over #2308 Belfry, and except for Jenkins and Phelps (District), have not played anyone worse than #7919.

Pikeville is the favorite and should be.
Raceland, Paintsville, Hazard and maybe a couple others could be thrown in a hat and drawed out for the rankings.
