Good game between 2 evenly matched teams. I look for a rematch in round 2 that'll be another close game.

McCracken can still get the 1 seed if Owensboro beats Henderson next week. That could be a good game. Henderson just outplayed McCracken tonight. You canât spot a team 13 points & win the majority of the time.

How? Owensboro is not in the same district. They aren't even a 6A team.
Are district ties settled through RPI or something?

Big win for Henderson County.

MCHS had 55 yards rushing on the night. Late 1st down wins the game. Last four plays rushes. Last two from the wildcat? Telling Henderson exactly what we were doing when we couldn't run the ball anyways. Most effective weapon, best weapon on the night Elijah Wheat (292 yds passing for 4TDs) sitting on the bench watching.

McCracken County is likely the most profound enigma in Ky. High School football.

I think 3 way ties are settled by adding the wins of 4 of each team's opponents (that aren't involved in the tie).

McCracken is a young program that I think has trouble understanding once you reach a certain level you get a target on your back. You cannot afford to sleep walk through a series or two.

From what Iâve heard they go by RPI on the 3 way tie. Daviss County is out of the equation, with the loss McCrackenâs RPI is still higher than Hendersonâs. Iâm not a fan of the RPI, but when you think about it McCracken has lost 3 games to teams that have 7-2 records. Hendersonâs losses came to teams that are below .500. If Henderson can beat Owensboro then itâll really boost their RPI. McCracken SHOULD handle Christian County which wonât really impact their RPI by beating a team thatâs 0-9, but when the good teams that McCracken has beaten win their games thatâs where the boost comes in. Now this RPI is all new to me so Iâm just learning as I go. So please donât hold me to it.

Yeah, I totally disagree with this rpi bull.

RPI has nothing to do with the 1st 2 rounds. If you win your district, you're the home team in the 1st 2 rounds. McCracken having a higher RPI is irrelevent. The 3rd round is when it comes into play.

Okay, then what decides the 3 way tie? Iâm not arguing with you Iâve just heard so many different opinions on what decides it.

Tiebreaker Formula:
Henderson County
Hopkinsville 6

Top 4 Subtotal: 17
Marshall County 2
Christian County 0
Total: 19
McCracken County
Mayfield 8
Dyer County (Newbern), TN 7
Graves County 5
Apollo 3
Top 4 Subtotal: 23

I wonder how the possibility of a road loss by Mayfield could affect that. Mayfield has a tough game coming up.

Jackson Purchase Wrote:Tiebreaker Formula:So according to this formula; even if Henderson did beat Owensboro theyâd only get 8 more points giving them a total of 27 + any wins from the fore mentioned teams. McCracken will get 0 if they beat Christian it accumulate points from Mayfield,Graves, Dyer, etc wins which still would give McCracken more points regardless? Right?

It does need to happen. Along with 4 other things for Henderson to get 1 seed.
They need all of the Following:
Hendo over Owensboro
HopTown over PT
Mayfield Loss to MNH
Graves Loss Marshall
Dyer Co Loss to Kentwood
Seem overtly complicated. Lol

There is absolutely no way that works out. Because, I will guarantee you that Graves Co will beat Marshall Co. I would say Mayfield is the favorite against Madisonville as well. The Mayfield loss may happen but, the Graves Co loss will not.

McCracken County cannot lose as Henderson has to have 6 perfect storms. Marshall beating Graves would be like Ballard Memorial beating Mayfield, not going to happen this year.
