Who do you guys have as your preseason All 14th Region Team? And what are some of the better underclassmen that may make an impact this year?

Wowza you got a lot of patriots on your list brutha! McGuire is a big time player. Watched the pats play a lot last year and the kid is a work horse. If I had to nitpick one thing about him, he seemed to get in foul trouble from time to time. If he improves on that he might get the BGR 14th Region MVP Award when March rolls around.

Leslie County Trent Day is a top 5 player in this region hands down. Leslie County is finally going to earn the respect they deserve this season with this LOADED junior class. ALL FROM LESLIE COUNTY. They do it right and can't wait to watch them this season! Also Wyatt Hensley was the best 8th grader in the 14th region last year. He's playing a huge role as a freshman this season and by far one of the best underclass player in the region!
#6
Brandon Slaughter - Breathitt
Trent Day - Leslie
Andrew Reed - PCC
Logan Hall - Hazard
Joe Benton - Estill

Hard to pick best underclassman but I’ll go with Jaylen Turner - Breathitt Co
#7
I think the point guard from Owsley County is number 1
#8
Coach Noble from Breathitt County could make Slaugther player of the year in the 14th region. If Slaugther wants it he can obtain it.
#9

Who ?

Was told Perry had a couple more kids enroll in the last week. Brings the total to three new players they have had come in since last season. One of the kids is at least 6’3” with blazing speed and can get up. Heard there was a video circulating of him jumping over someone slamming it. Until I see them in person I can’t rank them.

My team is

Wade Pelfrey
Kobe Bowling
Jaz Johnson
Josh McGuire
Logan Hall

Underclassmen

Sawyer Thompson

DeAndra Reed is the best player in the region hands down. Lets be real guys.

That’s your opinion slick. Kid is a great player, but after only playing one game in the past 19 months and his history of knee injuries he didn’t make my list.
#14
DeAndra played half the season last year slick. You are thinking about Marquiz who graduated. Reed is the best athlete in the region. I saw him play some over the summer. He has so much more explosiveness compared to everyone else. Pelfrey is a better PG. But just all around, I would take Reed. He is physically on another level.

In the 14th Region All Star game, Wolf County’s Wilgus Tolson had 34 points scoring anyway he wanted, yet he’s not on anyone’s preseason list.
#22
Reed
Pelfrey
Tolson
Slaughter
Benton
#23

When is the last time you saw anyone play D in an All Star game? Points mean nothing in those things. Not even the most skilled team on his team, let alone the state Confusednicker:

The Benton kid has shot up like a tree. Hes a 6'2" kid that has handles and can light it up. Hard to guard a kid that size at the point in this Region.

I agree.
He’s definitely one of the top 5 players in the region.
Estill’s located so far away from the region’s Power Center of the 53rd/54th districts that kids like Benton sometimes get overlooked. In addition, Estill is going to be pretty darn good this season. Maybe not the best in the region but my guess is no one will take them for granted on their schedules.
#27
I guess we’ll find out
#28
I know the Wolfe team very well. His handles and floor vision are by far better than anyone on the team.
#29
Tolson is without a dout one of if not the top skill player in the 14th hands down
#30
I’ll go with Jaylan Turner from Breathitt for the best underclassman
