Let the excuses begin

Dang!

I donât know what happened in the game. But Iâve watched them play once in person and after the results of some
Of their games, highlands is overrated. They arenât a bad team by no means. But far from a great team.

Better team won Conner wanted it more

Highlands offense is non existent. They pulled the starting qb in the 4th and finally moved the ball. Too little too late. The D did not play well tonight either. Too many long completions or pass interference calls. Can't win like that.

I said it 3 years ago and I’ll say it again. You are not going to win with that coaching staff. And I mean all of them. I don’t care what kind of athletes they have
About 25 losses in 5 years. Not at that school. I know coach’s that were fired there after 6 losses in 3 years

I watched Knoxville Catholic last night. How did this HHS team play them so well and lose to Conner?
10-05-2019, 04:48 AM
Coaches losing ways are not over for this year. Counting season and playoffs. 2 to 3 more losses
10-05-2019, 05:22 AM
This coaching staff is never going to get highlands back to the glory days they are terrible. Never make adjustments, continue to let the teams do the same thing over and over to you, don’t put your best players out there, hard to watch. Instead of getting better this team gets worse week after week

They will definitely lose more games this year, Cov Cath will put a running clock on them

I have Said in several threads this year that Highlands is not a great team but a good team. I am not sure theyâre a good team with this coaching staff. Your offense is pathetic and You refuse to play the best player on the team on offense

I watched that game and thought the exact same thing after seeing this score. Dont know what's going on but I hope HHS figures it out. Congrats Conner, very nice win.

Like I said, Conner can win this game........

Realistically, how much would everything improve if Huddleston also played offense? What position would he play? Heâs a great player for sure, but I find it hard to believe that things would drastically change with him going both ways.

I called this one! Nice win Conner!

Just pointed out most obvious dumb decision of many this coaching staff makes. I have never liked the two platoon system. Conners QB (who was very impressive) played ever down both ways. Silly to think a top athlete canât play both ways. Only time I question it is if it is a very big, heavy , out of shape lineman.

The question isnât just about Huddleston. How about another 5 going both ways??? Now that makes a difference

Ok. I was just asking. I agree that you want your best players out on the field as frequent as they can physically stand without fatiguing and causing their production on one side or the other to suffer.
10-05-2019, 04:22 PM
Woodsman. I know. I was just adding players with Huddleston.
10-05-2019, 05:07 PM
Ive never understood the Highlands fan base mentality of eating their own. Why on earth you blame the coaching staff when the issue is lack of talent plain and simple.
10-05-2019, 05:08 PM
And Woodsman. You mentioned fatigue. That is a good question. And I question what kind of shape this team is in. Good enough to go one way. But good enough to go both ways????????

Conner football team is finally getting kids who played for the feeder team NKY Bandits. They should have a good team for several years.
10-07-2019, 04:56 AM
Did Conner play any players both ways???

bo67 Wrote:Did Conner play any players both ways???
Several the starting qb played linebacker.
10-07-2019, 03:24 PM
Oh. So the difference in both teams might be conditioning???
10-07-2019, 04:52 PM
I just read the Ft Thomas write up on the game. Says Conner wore Highlands defense down. And Conner had kids going both ways. And also said Conner exposed cracks in the Birds defense. Thatâs coaching!!!

Or one team had more talent than the other.
