His latest offer I believe, came from Midway U. a few weeks ago. Haven't heard he has committed to a school yet.

He is playing AAU with Pride Athletics, it’s a team designed for unsigned seniors..Marquis Frazier is also on that team..hopefully it will get these boys some more exposure and get them both college educations
#4
Youd think being probably one of the most prolific shooters in State history would get him a nice ride somewhere. Someone needs to pick him up. EKU or Morehead could use a shooter like him.
#5
Is there a deadline they have to decide? I would have thought he’d want to have his signing day so all his friends could be by his side.
#6
I guess that goes to show that there is more to the game than great shooting. Great shooter and hopefully someone picks him up but I don’t see a D1 school taking a chance on him. It doesn’t matter the level of play it’s the chance for the education that counts so if a NAIA offered he should take it.
#7
Guys I really enjoyed watching him play as he was a very good player. But he is not a division 1 type athlete. Great shooter but don’t have the athleticism/ foot speed etc. to play Division 1. Nothing wrong playing NAIA.
#8
I’m assuming he’s not got a big enough school offering him a scholarship and that’s why he’s holding out. Do they have to commit by a certain time?
#9
One of his teammates said he’s attending Alice Lloyd. This may be why he’s not done an “official signing”. I would have thought he would have went to a bigger school, not a big time school but perhaps Pikeville.
#10
It sounds like he may just be going to Alice Lloyd for school only and wont be playing basketball. I know ALC had a signing for Noah Caudill recently.

If he does play there though, that would be a very nice get for Coach Hammond and the Eagles.
#11
Alice Lloyd College plays good basketball. Noah would be a nice fit there.
#12
Back is a prolific shooter and needs to work on a few other aspects of his game. He will be a good fit no matter where he goes and any NAIA school would work for him. If he wants immediate playing time, pursue something like Alice Lloyd or University of the Cumberlands. He seems to love the game too much to not play in college somewhere.
#13
Alice Lloyd could be better if they had a Coach , he is horrible.
#14
Back is as bad as I was as a player. Can’t guard a chair
#15
It seems everyone just plays to outscore everyone else defense is a neglected aspect of the game anymore.
#16
He can shoot from distance has to be a level in the college game should be able to play.
#17
He wants to play D1 basketball.
I believe playing post-grad prep basketball was an option a few weeks ago.
#18
Good player

He is a great shooter but definitely not going to be a D1 player. There have been lots of better all around players from the mountains that didn’t make D1.

I always look forward to your authentic, non-butthurt-related opinions about Commodore players, coaches and the overall program.

That being said, I don't disagree that there are better players who didn't go D1. But there are players who are his caliber or worse that did land a D1 scholarship, so I would just let it play out and wish the young man good luck.

If he does decide to go the post-grad route, I congratulate him on having enough ambition to try to get to the D-1 level. Honestly its nice and refreshing seeing that type of ambition in the mountains as far as that goes. Its nice seeing people willing to work to pursue a dream/goal.

If he winds up at Alice Lloyd in the fall, basketball or not at least he is trying to better and make something of himself. I am rooting for him.

One thing this young man has is ambition. He's a top tier shooter that may fit into a system somewhere at a high level. If not, guess what, he will play at a different level. At the end of the day, he is still pursuing his dream and playing the game he enjoys to play.

BStidham, where did you play D1 at?
I honestly havent saw anyone shoot better than this kid. Hes spot on pretty much every time he is left open. He gets chased every single game. Not saw him get scored on like some of you say he has. I think he could play D1. Just got to get his shot.

He's not a lock-down defender by any means, but he's absolutely a serviceable defender.

He's 6'3" and he's had games where he was chased and doubled all night, but stayed after it on defense and helped his team in the rebounding column.

It's easy for other parts of your game to be overlooked when only one more player in the state's history has sank as many 3s.

I hope he reaches his dreams but it’s like my kid eventually seen after playing for a few years at a high level. He could ride a bench at d1. Don’t make u d1. Means u should get school paid and get on with ur life. He or my kid ain’t going pro.
#27
Chase the dream Noah, go to work everyday and don’t let anyone tell you what you can do.
#28
Hope Noah gets a chance somewhere, his defense and foot speed could be improved in college if he lands in the right place; he can flat out shoot the basketball and would seem to be a big asset because of that, especially considering the 3 point line in college is being moved back.
#29
I have enjoy watching Noah back played basketball last 4 years, The kid can flat out play. D-1 shcool are missing out right on a 3 pointer sharp shooter TongueirateSho

He was a great shooter no doubt. But he could not create his own shot and was only lethal when he was open. Not as effective with a hand in his face and teams that played against them exploited him on defense. I hope the kid does succeed and as I hope all kids from Eastern Kentucky do but I personally don’t think he is going D1. There is nothing wrong with NAIA, my own son is playing at that level. If he gets the chance he should take it because it’s for the love of the game and it’s not like he will be going pro even if he did make D1. I felt that it was an honor for my own kid to get an offer because he loves basketball and he knows like we do he isn’t going pro either.
