Democrats No Longer Democratic
#1
It just might be time for people who consider themselves a Democrat, to take stock of what being a Democrat really means these days. The will of the whole people is to be paramount, not just those in power for fleeting stints. And certainly not when such circumstances run completely contrary to the vast majority of the record of our nation's history and our national heritage.

Dems today, in openly lusting for an exponential taxation structure, have managed to kill a deal with Amazon which itself would have been directly responsible for the addition of over 25 thousand new jobs in Long Island City, NY. Likely an even greater number of jobs were lost to boot. A number of big time (pending) real estate deals associated with interested support industry will fall through as well. The whole thing is an almost incalculable loss to New York.

I'm not happy about the mess. But I would offer up a small barb for the good folks of New York who insist on electing rabidly left officials to office.... welcome to your transformation! And BTW, 43 years have passed since 1975 when Milton Freidman enshrined his famous quote in a book title. And guess what? There STILL is 'no such thing as a free lunch!'

New York's 14th district Representative (D) Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is out crowing today that she defeated Amazon. She also wants free government run health care for all, and wants to ban air travel, and cars, and anything that uses any kind of fossil fuel. She wants to guarantee those who "don't work or are unwilling to work" a paycheck. Now, I know the good ol boys in organized labor are die hard Democrats. But even they have to be able to see clearly, what's about to befall them. Working folk are gonna have to pay the slugs to stay home and play video games, while they have to trudge off to work each day, (snow rain or shine) to make the money Congress needs to hand out as freebies.

Dems are coming after Brett Kavanaugh and they're never going to stop coming at Trump, even if he gets reelected. Maxine Waters wants to punish the financial sector through onerous regulation, wants to create yet another housing bubble as she has assembled a "Diversity Committee" through which she vows to force the banking industry to once again pass out lenient loans to minorities. I wouldn't be surprised if she authored legislation to replace the Pledge of Allegiance with the Wakanda salute.

Meanwhile every Dem is ready to die on the twin hills of unfettered abortion and gender abomination.

The rabid left have seized control of the party. Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, and others will abolish ICE, and they WILL have open borders. And it would appear that working Americans are esteemed mere fodder, about to be fleeced and steamrolled. The rabid left might not like the idea that the free enterprise system and equality of opportunity have made many people self sufficient and in many cases, even rich in this land. But I got a little flash for them, they're really not going to like it when there are no rich people nor a middle class for them to tax.

As far as I can see, the only people who're happy with the ridiculousness are those with a social ax to grind, those whom are too lazy to work but who nonetheless WANT stuff, and expect it BTW; And those who hate the traditionally conservative values of our founding.

Tell me O echo chamber, what is so bad about all of this?

So, why is AOC flying around the country? If there are jets operating on solar or wind power. Do you think AOC would ban herself from air travel or would she vote herself an exemption? Nothing is stopping her from taking the bus now.

Or....she flies on something that doesn't use what she's against.

Hot air balloon? Hang glider? Go ahead and explain how she flies in what she claims is an environment friendly jet. We'll wait.

Is there one? Heck if I know. But I'm sure whatever she is using is environmentally friendly. Probably a lot more environmentally friendly than all those people using beer and cigarettes as you say, right? Confusednicker:

AOC is your shining champion. Tell us how she jets around the country without harming the environment. Come on, surely you must be familiar with the travel habits of one of your heroes. Spill the beans.

She's what, 28 or 29? Can you imagine someone so young in such a rough situation? She makes some odd statements sometimes but I find her run to be inspiring. She gives plenty of hope to the poor and stands up to the rich greedy capitalists.

All I can say, is you are easily inspired if an idiot like AOC does it for you. Why are so many liberal icons such huge hypocrites? To wit, how does AOC jet around the country without harming the environment and if she had her way, do you think she would ground herself or would your ruling elite be exempt from the fly ban?

Do you not see the background she comes from Hoot? I highly doubt she would consider exempting herself from the ban.

Then why does she not walk the talk without a law compelling her not to fly?

As for her background, it is obvious that she hails from a Congressional district in which she is surrounded by idiots. How else could such a stupid person be elected to such a high office?

Would she fly in a plane that doesn't exempt itself from fossil fuels?
#15
Sci-Fi Wrote:Would she fly in a plane that doesn't exempt itself from fossil fuels?
Can you rephrase that question so that it makes sense? Jet planes are powered by jet fuel. If AOC flies on jet planes whose fuel contains no carbon, please explain how that is possible? Does she fly in a hydrogen fueled jet? Or maybe, her plan uses some exotic over sized rubber band to turn a propeller. How does she fly without violating the ban that she hopes to impose on all of us?
#16
There are rubber bands of many different sizes, it wouldn't surprise me with what we have now that they would be able to make something that could propel. Maybe she does fly in a hydrogen fueled jet. I don't know Hoot. Why don't you find out? I don't know much about this but I'm going to guess she is doing whatever is best for the country.

You have been inspired by a hypocritical moron, RV. If she seems bright to you, then that says as much about you as it does about her.

Why do you keep calling me RV Hoot?

How about this, if I get proven right you have to refer to me as Big Daddy Fresh. Deal?

So far, you have been proven wrong about everything that you have posted the past couple of days. Wrong about there being a national sales tax. Wrong about states collecting the national sales tax for the feds. Wrong about every state having a sales tax. Don't you ever get tired of losing?

You are AOC's supporter. You should be able to defend her against charges of hypocrisy without even resorting to Google. Is it enough that she appears on ballots with a capital "D" beside of her name?

When did I ever use google? Show me where I used it once.

I was right about states collecting sales tax and giving it to the federal giver...oops, government.

I was right about every state either having a withholding or a sales tax.

I'm right about AOC and can defend her no problem. If that gets me called "RV" or whatever then I'm find with that. I like Big Daddy Fresh better though.

Then you should start using it. Ignorance is an affliction that can be cured and Google can be part of your road to recovery.

No. You were wrong and are not man enough to admit your mistake.

You were wrong and then lied about what you actually wrote.

Wrong again. You think she has great ideas but were unable to explain why it is hypocritical for her to fly around the country while advocating a ban on air travel.

Man enough, how do you even know I'm a man number one? I don't google stuff randomly but I'm glad to at least know that it's what you do. I could only imagine turning in a paper citing google as my source. :Shaking:

I see your point. It's best to just make up stuff on the fly and cite other people's opinions as if they were facts - the way that you support your opinions in this forum. We don't have to imagine that, we witness it on a regular basis.

You have me all wrong. But I have a feeling you're doing that deliberately - anything to avoid talking about the rich.

No question. In fact, many if not all libs claim to ascribe to the notion that gender confusion is real. Hence all the public bathroom jurisdictional and legislative brouhaha. And after all, that conviction has to trace it's origin from somewhere. Right?

I was just starting to like you a little bit. What's so wrong with accommodating the needs of people who identify as a different gender from male or female?

Genesis 1:27 (KJV)
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

I'm not getting into a Biblical debate with you.

I am not talking about how they were designed, but rather how their mind thinks - their self-esteem, their confidence, their self-worth. Why just destroy a person's well being?
