As a parent from South Laurel I can tell you, there are no problems with the first 8. Souder is a great coach. It takes time to adjust to new styles of play, but the girls are adjusting. Looking forward to tournament time!

I heard south filed several pages fighting the bona fide move, didnât hear anything about divorce. I donât see that as releasing her but fighting it. Is that Hall girl at south playing on a bona fide move? Both her parents work at Perry County sister goes to school there and they still own there home in Perry I agree KHSAA is all over the map on who gets approved.

South Laurel my pick to go to state!

So, has there already been a hearing? Was an initial ruling made?
Donât think the KHSAA can tell someone where they can work or where they can own a home. Last time I checked we do live in America. Is her sister in high school? If not, who cares.
But I do agree itâs all over the place with KHSAA. Just like the Harmon kid, should or shouldnât he be eligible? My opinion, yes but mine donât count.

the kid was actually suspended for a game and held on the bench for the second game because she did not text the coach on Wednesday that she was sick . I can understand making her run maybe even sitting out that first game but anything other than that is extreme. His stubborn coaching style cost south that game against north. that says more about this âgreat coachâ than it does about some kid if itâs true

Go away crazy lady. You already made some bad decisions with this move. Cost your kid a scholarship and now she isnt going to be able to play. There is your reality check.

I know about these people. I dont know them personally. But you are easy to read.
Certified CooCoo. Take that anyway you want it. Heck just look at the comments on here. Lets just break it down.
1. Player got suspended. This, I am betting, was due to more than one incident. Anyone knows that there is more to the suspension that one rule break.
2. Player, parents leave a school they have been at their whole life 2/3 of the way through players senior season. Just let that sink in.
3. Fake a divorce. This will be checked and if its found out to be true, then charges I am sure will be filed against them for lying to a state agency.
4. Colleges dont pull offers unless something is bad wrong, especially a NAIA who takes what is left after D1 and D2 takes what they want. So there is some bad mojo there.
5. And if you want even more evidence of the craziness, just check out social media. That alone will prove my point.

Just read through the entire post, missed they had already ruled and went to hearing. That was really quick, just heard Perry got a response of eligible for the boys after months of waiting..

I know what the 100% of the people at South say. And they dont lie. Hearing Clay County is going to back up behind the scenes and not push to get her eligible. Had a parent from Clay tell me it would be a travesty if this kid was allowed to play. Behind the scenes parents there are laughing.

North won the 12th Region once, but not the 13th.
02-16-2019, 08:13 PM
No, North made the finals once in the 12th in the early years of the school, early 90s, but they have never won a region in girls basketball.
02-16-2019, 11:19 PM
My mistake then - I thought I was told they won the 12th once. I know they hadn't won the 13th.

factsonlyplease Wrote:South will be totally fine. They are really rolling, Coach Souder knows his stuff. They are playing better together and finding a great rhythm. The defense is taking a bit to strengthen up but it's improving consistently. I know they hit a couple bumps in the road along the way, but even without Morgan they are the 13th favorites.
Coach Souder is in the 13th not the 12th if he thought south could win the region without a strong post hes lost his mind along with any of those parents That was proven against Clay last week. North is the favorite they are balanced with shooters and Mahan uses his post the way a post should be used
02-17-2019, 04:38 PM
Didnât Clay beat em 1st game of the year? Harlan lost their true post player last year to injury and won it. North has a great chance of winning it just like Clay and South.

I spent some time in London yesterday watching the games Thatâs a community divided some mad because this kid might get to play at Clay others wer upset because South was a clear favorite until the new coach and this Morgan stuff
Not one person had anything bad to say about the kid or the parents that I heard. One teacher said she had Morgan as a student several years and she was an honor roll student with a lot of talent and friends
And for those who havenât seen with their own eyes the email from that coach to the ad, he suspended the Morgan kid for not communicating about missing practice for two games and then for a week after the North at North game for what he thought was disrespectful behavior on the bench
I was at the game I donât recall her acting out, I honestly thought she was still sick
Iâm not sure about anyone else but I think this is extreme punishment and to a star athlete in the aftermath of Coach Walker
Shame on South when I played sports you ran for this stuff, there was no indication from the email she was a repeat offender either. He also refused to let her dress in warmups or sit the bench during this suspension also something we had to do in my day. In my opinion regardless of titles heâs destroyed any chance for South Laurel in the tournament
