Congrats to Betsy Layne.

Watched this one and really didn’t understand the gameplan from Betsy layne. They have nothing but guards and athletic bigs who can run. Floyd Central is obviously a team that is not in game shape yet with the new players just coming back. Those kids were huffing and puffing the whole night and Betsy layne just ran at their slow pace with the short corner offense and it was tough to watch.

Beaver Creek parents got what they wanted. Their kids back on the team. They have had plenty of time to get back in game shape. Floyd Central will not win another game this season. It is going to be a long losing streak. No immediate future for this program.

I just wonder who comes in and takes the job? I think a lot of those same parents wanted Justin Holbrook named coach...if he isnt offered the job or didnt want it, then what?

As for the victors, Betsy Layne has some talented kids and hopefully a bright future. The big question will be if they stay at Betsy Layne or head elsewhere? Which for the Bobcats it seems like Jr. Newsome was Betsy Layne basketball. After he retired in 97 they made what 2 Region tournaments and neither time as District Champions. He returned in 2009 and they win the District, All A State title and multiple All A Region titles and finished 2nd to Shelby Valley the year Valley won state. When he retired again, Betsy Layne went down fast. Hopefully they can get a coach who can get them back there. I hope its Coach Short.

Justin Holbrook was never an option or the root of it all no matter how many times it’s posted. Just typing it doesn’t make it true. Every time I see Holbrook’s name here know it’s a huge effort to distract from the real issues.

Floyd County just needs to post this job and do it right, interview people and see what happens

The Beaver Creekers have figured it after last nights game. The root of the problem is currently coaching the team. Coaches basketball- starting point guard is? Coaches football- starting quarterback is? Coaches baseball- starting pitcher and shortstop is?

That’s funny. How can he be the root of the problem when he just took over the basketball team a few games ago. They’ve been on the struggle bus all season over there.

Talent left Betsy Layne. Kyle Watkins - started at Pikeville. Byron Hammonds -plays big minutes for Pikeville. Zach Hamilton the pst couple seasons left for Pikeville. We can’t keep talent because Betsy layne has made it obvious they don’t care about athletics in who they hire and kids don’t want to play for a program that doesn’t care about their athletics.

Another distraction from the story. The beaver creekers and players love Hager. No need to try and stir that pot. It will get you nowhere.

Must have been a good game plan they won the game.
Give Brad a little time before trying to insinuate he isn’t any good 👌👌👌

Beating Floyd Central isn’t something to hang your hat on. I was just questioning his gameplan approach. Not insinuating he’s doing a bad job.
