Prestonsburg 46 Belfry 38
#1
Final

Poor ol Belfry don’t look like they will break 10 wins this year
#3
Same old Belfry basketball. No excuse for them to not be more competitive each year with the talent they have, especially from a school that size.

This year they really don’t have a go to man or men but there is no excuse for them winning under 15 games but Coaching. I heard people on here saying Mark Thompson was one of the best coaches in the region last year that was a joke he had a bunch of athletes that made him look a lot better then he really was now we’re back to winning under 10 games a year he’s a good guy but he’s no head coach watching him coach is like watching SNL Belfry High administration simply don’t care about there Basketball at all

Mark is a good guy
But like I have stated all season
"It's Time"

Mark is a good coach.

The problems with Belfry are much, much deeper.

You don’t know much about basketball he’s never been successful and never will be Mark is a good guy but a good coach never he might be a good assistant but never a good or even a decent head coach and yes that’s just some of Belfry’s problem when it comes to basketball

Mark wasn’t a good coach at Pike Central and he isn’t one at Belfry. He had loads of talent at central and never won anything

I do believe it is time for a change at Belfry for different reasons even though I don't think we will ever see it happen. Belfry doesn't have to be just a football school. They have enough kids to be competitive at every sport. Question though how many of these kids actually work on their b-ball game outside of season? Could this be part of the factor? A lot of their players play football and I know that takes top priority in the summer and there has to be time to work on individual skills.

The administration is happy with just having a team Mark was just put in a position didn’t really matter if he wanted it or not they told him to take and they could care less if he wins or not so it’s a combination of things but you got to start with Coaching and kids really don’t care if they play or not he will not win 20 games again if they spot him 10 just a fact

This is to Mark Thompson i know you get on here and read this stuff I like you buddy so I’ll say this if the school would put a little in your program you could do a lot better your a very good Asst. Coach I think you told me that a couple of times and you was a good player and your a great guy but it’s a different story when your the man it falls on your shoulders and I don’t see it getting much better for you I wish you luck but the school will never put you in the position to succeed this part isn’t your fault hope it turns around for you
