Just how good is Duke. After they opened the season by crushing then number 2 Kentucky 118-84, I think everyone was amazed. I was people already crowning them, hearing they were a super team, hearing 40-0, ect. Then, Auburn played them close losing by 6 in Hawaii. Then their next game on the island, Gonzaga sent them crashing back to earth 89-87. We now now Kentucky really isn't that good,. So although their opening win against the Cats is still impressive due to the margin of victory, beating them wasn't was as big of a deal.
My question is now good are the Blue Devils? Was the Auburn and Gonzaga games flukes?
Are they the number 1 team in the country?

If they are hitting 3’s at 60% like the did against Kentucky, then no one has a chance. Cause Zion and Barrett feed off of that momentum and they morph into NBA players playing against college kids. But when you have a team like Gonzaga that didn’t back down and match their intensity by making big basket after big basket then yeah. They beatable.
I’m real curious to see how they fair in the tournament this year. At the end of the Gonzaga game Barrett made it obvious that he wanted the ball in his hands at the end of the game and will not pass it. On two possessions late in that game he had Zion open and went ahead and through to two terrible shots and you could see that Zion was visibly upset about it. So I’m curious to see how that continues to play out with their egos.

Kentucky will give them more than they want in the tournament.

They played their best game of the year against Kentucky . It wasn’t because our defense was atrocious, they just made everything .

Right, and Kentucky is becoming a much better team.

Duke is a young team, as is Kentucky. I hate to point out the obvious, but Duke is better coached than Kentucky and until either Duke or Kentucky change head coaches, that fact is not going to change.
The gap between Kentucky and Duke is likely to widen between now and the tournament. Kentucky or some other team may upset Duke in the tournament, but my money would be on Duke in a rematch.
Michigan is very well coached, experienced, and loaded with talent. IMO, the Wolverines have as good a shot at the title as anybody, including Duke. Coach Calipari needs to recruit the top available player talent to offset superior coaching and he is no longer doing so.

When Kentucky makes a run in the tournament remember I told you so.

If Kentucky is eliminated early, given the abundant talent that they have, then that will prove my point. I hate Duke and hope that Kentucky does win the title, but I suspect Coach Cal has won his last title at Kentucky.

Duke will be sitting at the house watching Kentucky play

Anyone that says Cal is as good of a coach as K has lost their mind. Hell now he's not even as good of a recruiter as K. Kentucky isn't the "cool school" anymore to recruits. We cannot get the elite one-and-done players anymore, they go to Duke.
Could UK win the title this year? Yep. But there are 3-4 other teams that I would put ahead of us for the title and I don't think that will change.
But to the topic of the thread. Duke is very talented but is very beatable. Nowhere near as good as the 2015 Cats.
