Estep is phenomenal and everybody knows that. What impressed me from last night's game was his field vision and smarts! That was the smartest game I've ever seen from a HS QB.

To the tune of 21-0 at the half I believe. At their place! Now I think central is about as good as they were last year. Maybe a tad better. Someone please tell me now, that these hounds arenât way better than last year? Matter of fact, please do, I liked it better on here when people doubted us.

The elephant (or cardinal) in the room here is Mayfield.

Complete respect goes out to the Boyle fans on this board.. Even more, the players and fans on the field last night. They were a very classy bunch and showed great sportsmanship before during and after the game.
As For My team! We were ready for the challenge. The coaches put together a great game plan that worked. Most importantly the kids believed in it and carried it out. Haddix called a great game and Greer called the D to perfection. This game had been on the minds of everyone envolved that played in week 15 of the â17 season. Congrats to Boyle on their tremendous streak of winning ballgames. Hats off and I know you will learn/improve and there wonât be many teams in class 4a that will be able to Match up to ya next season.
On to Louisville Central and Kroger Field! Go Hounds. Stay focused and one more game plan to execute! We still have business to take care of. #stayhumble

That was by far the best game haddix and Greer have called collectively! Hats off to them. They did their homework. Didnât change much up that we normally wouldnât do other than some of the RPO stuff and stuck to it. Blessed to have the great guys we do on staff.

However, I have heard from two different and reliable sources that the coaching staff spent way more time on playing Louisville Central than playing Corbin. I didn't believe it at first. Any coaching staff that is as seasoned and successful as Boyle's should NEVER look past ANY team that has made it to a state semi-final game. I don't care if you're playing Possum Holler!! If a team makes it that far, there is a reason they're there!
First off, if granny said that the world is on fire Iâd believe her. So I believe what she was told is 100% accurate. But at the same time I want to believe chuck is a better coach than that. If true, thatâs an injustice to those kids.

Arrogance on BlueGrass Rivals, Top 5:
1. Mayfield
2. Corbin
3. Boyle, Belfry, Bell, Beechwood (the killer B's)
4. Somerset (When they do post, you'd think they won 3 titles in a row)
5. All the rest...I just don't notice that they post on here, or they are a mid level or near bottom level team who is just trying to get better.
These teams have had a lot of success, historically, and as of late. But what about Danville, Scott County, Bowling Green, Louisville Central, Elizabethtown, Pulaski, etc.. Those teams are good, have won or played for titles, or been close. Do they just not have internet access or know about Rivals? They don't brag...Or do I just miss the comments when they do?
That's my take on this subject.

I know several corbin people that think he should have been starting at qb since his frosh or soph year. After seeing what hes done I dont disagree. I think he would have given them a better chance to win the past couple of years

But I thought there were some other questionable calls and they slowed the game down once again. The Boyle County catch was right in front of me. Both feet were inbounds and I at first thought it was a bad call. The receiver knocked the pylon over during the catch. Watching Ohio State-Michigan game today, Ohio state had a receiver in the end zone and he touched the pylon and it was called an incomplete pass and the announcers agreed with the call they said the pylon was considered out of bounds. Now I am curious if its the same in high school.

It is. But IMHO, Boyle's receiver had both feet in bounds when he caught the ball. The momentum leaned him into the pylon and ultimately out of bounds. The Ohio State guy jumped out of the end zone to catch the ball but hit the pylon on the way up.
At least that's the way I saw it, but I didn't have my glasses on.

The difference was the ball and receiver were in the end zone and his feet were in bounds.
Ohio State receiver was in the air, the ball out of end zone, and never possessed the ball til his only foot hit the pylon.
Two totally different scenarios. The Ref in Boyle game didnât have a clear look at feet and possession. It was what it was.

Looks good expect Belfry should be a little higher! And I'm not being sarcastic either! I think Belfry and Boyle are neck and neck for the #1 spot. Some, alot, of our fans is the definition of arrogant! But I will say this, for everyone one of those we have a diehard, Pirates loving, humble fan to "X" out the bad ones. But some of our fans are terrible and think their football Gods and couldn't really tell you the difference in an offsides and false start. Those are the people I cant stand. And we got some brother let me tell you!

Boyle while they have won more total, are getting up there to that status, not arrogant status, but having the so called ârightâ to be. They won last year and will probably win next year. After that itâs gonna be a battle between Corbin, Boyle, JC and maybe another for a good run. Both Boyle and Corbin have to championship teams coming up the ranks. I see many more battles like last night in the near future

I was a little higher up in the stands on that play, but from where I was it looked like a TD. But as I told someone else I thinks itâs a wash between that and the punt/fumble Boyle had. Someone went back and watched it and did tell me no Corbin player touched him but they were within the fair catch boundary but it was only because he was pushed from behind by a Boyle guy. Either way I consider it a wash. Donât really think it would have changed the end result. Maybe 28-7ish if anything.

People should always be humble IMO, and never arrogant, no matter if they earned it or not. God knows I try to be until other folks start showing themselves then I tend to scoop to that level, which is wrong on my part. As far as Boyle winning it next year, I absolutely dont see that happening. Johnson Central is a powerhouse in 4A right now and will be next year. And dont forget about Franklin Simpson either. But, like many times before, I could be wrong. Boyle is a great team with a good 2020 class no doubt but JC is playing lights out and will next year to.

I havenât had a chance to post yet. What a game last night!! Everyone is saying this game was a dominating victory by Corbin. In some ways I can agree with that. Corbin ran the ball well and stopped the run very well, which allowed their DBâs to focus on stopping cowlick and smith. Aside from that I was personally never comfortable until the last minute or so. Boyle drove the ball into Corbinâs red zone on four different occasions. Three ended in turnovers and the other was at the end of the game. I do not for a second think that Corbinâs kids wanted it more than Boyle did. The effort was there, Corbin was just able to make plays when they needed to.
My biggest worry now is that Corbin will lose focus on the mission. This seasonâs motto has been unfinished business and that business isnât finished yet. I hope these hounds double down on their focus and preparation this week. This is that last chance these seniors have to leave their mark on this program!! Go do it guys!!!
Congrats to Boyle County on a phenomenal season. There are few teams and fan bases that are classier than Boyle county. I personally look forward to the many meetings between these two teams over the next four years. They should be a lot of fun.
Go Hounds!!!! Get State!!!!

Iâm going to sound arrogant.
Boyle has as much right as Belfry. They have two more titles than the Pirates.
Won five straight when there were only four classes.
Won 47 games in a row.
Won back to back with a different coach in 2009 n 2010 while winning 43 out of 44.
Sorry but the Rebels May have even more to crow about than Belfry.

Why are we talking about who has the cockiest fan bases on a post game thread about a state semifinals game?
