Once upon a time I was a young man who made some mistakes that I regret. I hope he has truly understood his mistakes from last year and corrected those. As far as him leaving Furman, its not easy for kids to leave home for college. I'd say at Bell County most that do are back home within the first year. So I can't blame him for that. I wish him the best and hope he goes somewhere to get an education and enjoy playing basketball.
Really, can't blame him for coming home? As far as bashing a kid grow up and let him grow up, I blame most of Corbin for his actions. Let him take some responsibility. He has never had to.:please::please::please::please:

If I'm EKU I'm calling him asap, redshirt him, get him in the weight room and turn him loose when he gets cleared to play. The kid has talent and watching him and Peyton play together would be fun imo.

Moving 6 or 7 hours from your family (I'm guessing here) is not for everyone. He may need a better support group closer to him for him to succeed. I have no idea why he came home just guessing. But I am pulling for him to learn from his mistakes and be a good person that is pillar of what every community he is in.

Waste of talent. I think he can play NAIA and do well. Todd May come to mind. Remember him.

Anybody know for sure where Andrew is at?

I say close this thread. Andrews days as a high school player are over. This is a HS board. Let it rest. The kid was an excellent player for CHS. Hope he goes on and plays some college ball somewhere but if he dont, he was still a very successful person to say the least.

Todd May was an absolute beast. Don't even compare Taylor to him

Sorry and not putting down a kid but Andrew Taylor is not even in the same planet as Todd May. Basketball skills are and were on a very different level. Need to find another example.

If Taylor goes to an NAIA school and does well there, he could be compared to May in the sense both started out at an NCAA D1 school but then wound up leaving for NAIA competition.

I think itâs time this is closed. Has nothing to do with the upcoming season.
Itâs pretty easy to get on here and hide behind a fake identity isnât it. Pretty easy to bash a very young person on a computer because he beat you. Or maybe itâs you wanted to make something racist that he was coaxed into saying by an idiot so called friend.
We all were or are young and have made many mistakes and done stupid things.
Maybe if we knew everyoneâs name here they would much less likely to bash student athletes or young people for fear of their own personal issues coming out.

I'm shutting this down for two reasons...
1.) This is obviously meant to tear down a young man.
2.) I'm sick of seeing "has WITHDREW" every time I scroll through the basketball threads.

The young man at the center of this post is trying to put the pieces back together. The facts are the facts and no one is disputing them, but I thought the purpose of this site was to promote high school athletics with touch of banter and a lot of fun. He will land on his feet and be a better person for it. Whether he winds up NAIA, D1, or on the couch he has enough challenges in front of him and as an adult with more than my share of mistakes as young man I can say with absolute certainty that it's time to stop casting stones. Let's build these kids up and pray that they learn and grow like most of us have from our shortcomings. Remove this post!!!
