Sheldon Clark next season
#1
How do you guys think they will do.
#2
Losing Brandon and Shawn will be hurtful. Howeevr, Steven Goble, Damen Hensley, and Geroge Shimko have prooven to play well together. Having them along with Jaryd Crum and Danny Hinkle i think we will have a good team. Although Jaryd hasnt played much with these younger guys and is used to playing with the older boys, i think the team will be good.
#3
Are you kidding about this? This upcoming year will be a bad one unless somebody is coming out of the 8th grade!!! I don't think next seasons team will do very good.Spud,Hensley,Hinkle, and Goble are great players, but IMO they don't have anyone besides Spud that can handle the ball and shoot like he does. Their only shot was this year!!! B.May will be gone and so will their shot at a Regional tourney and state run!!! Spud will have to really step up and pack this bunch. He will be the leader of the team, but the question is do they want to be led and play as a team? Only time will tell so till about next fall we will not know!!!

is there going to be a coach change. regardless i wish them the best

Who knows ??? I think they need some new direction over here myself, but IMO remember this is Martin Co. and it's who you know and not what you know!!!! So until this fall we will just have to wait and pray and hope that Hammonds will not return!!!
#6
What about Spud? Talk over here in Johnson County is he will be over here somewhere.
#7
Talk is cheap! I bet they wish they had him though! I think he is a great asset to any team!
#8
For one if Jaryd wants to leave let him...thats his choice not everyone elses and if he wants to make that mistake then let him. But shooting wise we do have people that score other than Brandon. Justin Porter can shoot when he isnt under pressure. And anyone can learn to handle the ball so dont diss a team you dont know anything about...

So you say anyone can learn to handle the ball?Justin Porter can shoot the ball when no one is in his face, but he can't do anything else! He doesn't play defense very well and he can't get up and down the court. I think your statement about handling the ball is funny. Lets line up all the players that will be playing for SC next year and see how many of them can dribble with either hand and cross over while looking up the court and accessing what type of defense they are facing while trying to set up their offense and find the open man!!! As far as dissing the team with my post earlier I don't think you understood my point. My point was if you think they are State Tournament contenders now that they lost B. May you are wrong! When it comes to Spud moving somewhere else you were right about it being his choice, but wrong about it being a mistake!! He would thrive somewhere else and do even better with a coach that knew more about the game.I think I know as much about SC as you do!!!

Actually with the KHSAA rules and regulations Crum would have to take up residence in another school district (another county) to attend another school. That means his family would have to move from thier home, or he could stay with family and they become his legal guardian. (I'm pretty sure he has an uncle that lives in Johnson Co, but I doubt Spud wanting to stay with him) Either way SC would be able to fight the elgibility and probabley win if they tried. KHSAA is cracking down on transfers espically ones who attempt to change from one KY school to another KY school without a change of address. (Look at the Highlands football team in 04)
Anyhow this is all speculation and has no facts to back it up at the moment, so I don't think we should be concerned with it for the moment.
SC will have a chance at a good year next year. It will hurt them playing in the toughest district in the region, but they have a good nucleus of players returning and will be solid when it matters most next year.

I didnt say that we are state contenders. What i was saying is that if Jaryd wants to go let him. And who knows, maybe someone can handle the ball a little better than you think. Just being able to get the ball down the floor would be a plus, and i wasnt saying anyone can be as good of a handler as Jaryd. Noone ever made that comment, i just said that anyone can learn how to take the ball down the floor. Read before you start running your mouth.

I totally agree but I think the boys will find a way to play together.

i hope he does go somewhere else ive tryed to talk him into going somewhere but he wont he will be at sc next year and they will suck and thats all i have to say......and one more thing smiley sucks and they all are now worse haveing to play with him...
#15

What's with hating on Jarrett? He has a pretty good 3 point shot. If they had only chose to do that surgery sooner, he wouldn't be so iffy when it comes to being aggressive. He held back this year cause I'm sure he was afraid of getting hurt, which can happen easily after a surgery. But pre-surgery "Smiley" was cash from the perimiter.

I dont think jaryd is going to leave but i think it would be a wise career move for him if he does because this team is way to young and doesnt have alot of experience so it wouldnt be a mistake if he did leave... nobody on that team can learn how to handle the ball like spud and they dont have any big time scorers so that damen hensley and steve goble are going to have to step up cos those two will good as they mature.

he was not cash from anywhere and i gave him lots of respect for just geting out there but we was trash and we dont have to worry about him anymore

Sheldon Clark will lose some great players. But they still have players with alot of tallent. They have players that can defend you, take the ball from you. They have guys that can shoot the threes, and they have guys that can jump. (Dunk it baby). I belive the talent is there.

we really only have one guy that can shoot the three if nobody is on him. But i do agree the talent is here with Goble, Hensley, Crum to win games lets just see if they step it up and use it.

You need to ease up on that... everyone that has seen Jarrett Robinson play basketball before he had his surgery knows that he was money from the 3pt line. I sense some hostility.

It doesn't matter how you put it or who you blame it on, the simple fact is that S.C. sucks and they always will!!!!!!

lol thats funny. I think that you don't know what you are talking about because S.C. was great last year and no one expected them to do well, and they did.

That is a pretty stupid quote because no team will suck forever and they were good last year so i dont know why you even said that.

IF THEY DONT GET A NEW COACH THEY WILL NEVER WIN ANYTHING IN MARTIN CO. THE COACH THEY HAVE NOW IS AWFUL HE COULDNT COACH A BUNCH OF GRADE SCOOL KIDS:Thumbs:

Okay maybe they won't suck forever, but they will suck until J.R. Hammonds has nothing more to do with the boy's basketball program!!!!

Got a point there

yeah.. Hammonds is a joke. They need to get some real coaches in there...
#29
Well its not Hammonds that you need ot get out on Sheldon Clark basketball. What you need ot get out of the program are the politics. They bout lost the best player they have coming back next year to Johnson Central.
