You know RAMDAD50 when you guys beat Pikeville last year and had a thread about Raceland and Beechwood I was on here talking about you guys had a chance. Now you get on here and say they would kill Pikeville and probably would but I hope they get the chance. Pikeville has to win some tuff games to get to that point and I hope they do but I wouldnât never be so negative about any team that comes out of the east but I am not you so thatâs ok. Just had a high regard for you than undoubtedly you do for anybody else. Plus you need go look at stats from Raceland and Paintsville and Pikeville and Paintsville before you talk about how terrible any body defense is I couldnât see the play at the end zone but the announcers said he fumbled after he broke the plane but I donât really know like I said couldnât tell from the camera angle. As always GO PANTHERS!!!

That fumble was legit. I was right on the goal line as I am every home game. Had his RT not been infront of him, he likely would have scored, but he ran into him then we got the hit and the ball popped out. But none of it matters. Paintsville made the plays they had to, to win any way and we didnt.

Well like I said Scotty I couldnât see that just got kind of aggravated about some statements that was made on here. Always enjoy getting on here and talking football with you guys but I am never trying to be disrespectful but I also know that a lot of guys just get on here to have fun and thatâs ok ,too. You can always tell the difference in the two. Have a lot of respect for the Raceland program and have never said Pikeville canât be beat and they are the greatest team of all time but thatâs who I follow and have love ones playing on the team and I follow them. I believe you because the two guys I mentioned were definitely Paintsville people. But as always GO PANTHERS!!!

Another fact is that not a helluva whole lot seperate the big 4 in the east.
If all you guys want is somebody from the East, to beat Beechwood, then you better hope and pray that it is Pikeville representing the East, because what I have seen from Paintsville, if they get to Lexington, you are going to see a similar result as last years finals. Raceland may have had a bad game, but if they couldn't crack the scoreboard against Paintsville, that tells me they aren't much better on offense than they were last year.

Very true. That playoff game is why I thought the Hazard and Pikeville would be very close. Just because I know they returned 4 starters on that line. Even though Hazard didnât score in that game ( credit to Pikeville for the bend but donât break defense) they still moved the ball well.
So far in Hazards 3 most competitive games hazard has averaged close to 25 points while given up 32 points. Hazard is also 0-3 in those
In Pikevilles 3 they are scoring a average of 29 points while given up 35 points. Pikeville is 1-2 in those.
Very close stats.
Iâm a little tired otherwise I would so Paintsville and Raceland.

First off Pat...Iâm sorry if you took what I said the wrong way.My shots at Pikevilles D was intended in good fun after Jett made some fun comments at Raceland. If Raceland canât get to Lex then I will support any team from the east that makes it but Iâm sorry...I do believe that the east is playing for second place.Ive seen Beechwood on film and they look just as good if not better then last years team.Look at it this way...imagine any tram from the east playing Beechwoodd schedule this year!! What do you think their record would be? I was playing and having fun Pat but I donât believe anybody from the east can beat Beechwood! Somebody prove me wrong !!!

I also have watched them play and they are a beast and agree with you. It would take a super great effort to beat them. I took you post wrong and think you always( most of the time) have legit posts on here and always read them and a lot of the other Raceland fans also. Sorry it disturbed me but I said what I feel. On to the next one good luck to the Rams and the other teams in the east but still believe itâs going to be a hard fought games who ever comes out of it but as always GO PANTHERS!!!

Beechwood is not unbeatable. Maybe thats why we dont take the next step. Besides the beechies lost a lineman and their best lb to injury for the season. Beechwood is good because they play smart football. They take what the defense gives them and nothing more. Take away the run they throw 5 and ten yard curls take that away they go deep.

Beechwood lost the starting MLB/FB, they have not lost any of the Lineman.

You are comparing apples to oranges. You count Paintsville for Hazard but not for Pikeville. Also skewing the numbers is Pikeville played Belfry. But it's almost playoff time and we can throw all this out the window soon...

You must not have watched Paintsville much this year! Much improved after the collapse at Pikeville. Lots of positive changes made which in turn leads to the 6game win streak. I understand that the Pikeville score was one-sided but it surely wasn't indicative of what Paintsville is all about! And as far as last year, Raceland was not supposed to be in that championship game! The best player in 1A was Tyrese Allen and Beechwood had no answer for him running the ball or that could block him on the Dline. Not saying Paintsville wins but it surely is not a blowout. It will be interesting when these two meet again and the east will represent well whichever team makes it out!!

I have seen Paintsville this year, and the passing game is still pedestrian, at best. As far as last year goes, Paintsville's passing game was anemic. Beechwood would have stopped Tyrese Allen, because they would have had 9 men in the box daring Paintsville to throw the ball. Paintsville would have gotten the same beat down that Raceland did.

This is coming from someone who is a huge fan of whoever comes out of the east each year, myself. But #1, I was about to get ran out of town by all my fellow Raceland posters for saying our team last year wasnt very good, fact of the matter is, early on, we flat out were not a good team. We went on a run and those boys took advantage of each and every opportunity come playoff time. So to say we shouldnt have been there in lexington, well guess that's how it played out. Did a holding call help? Yea. But the kid still had to make the FG to win it. Still had to over come a 3 td loss to paintsville in the reg season. We got the luck of the drawl. Still had to take advantage of it though. Now onto #2.... I have a huge amount if respect for what Paintsville has accomplished in this decade, taking the program from the brink of extinction, to being a legit contender to get to Lexington every year and have a stronghold on the district title(pains me to say it, but facts are facts). But I have to disagree that Tyrese was the best player in 1A last year. I think a D1 scholarship clouds judgement a bit. Dont get me wrong the kid is a GREAT athelete and was a Phenominal HS football player. But the best player in 1A was handled pretty consistently in the regional championship game by a Soph RT and Allen was nowhere near as effective as he was in the regular season match up. For my money, the best player I saw in 1A last ye as r was the WR from Beechwood. Incredible hands, incredible route runner, just a very damn good football player. Now if u wanna talk D lineman? Allen was not only the best DT in 1A last year but probably a top 5-10 from all classes. But I dont think he was best over all player in 1A last year. This is coming from a Raceland guy who watched the kid from beechwood kick our ass for 3 quarters.

D1 scholarship clouds judgement a bit of some but not me! He not only got a D1 scholarship at a power 5 school but was first team All State in every major newspaper in the state, not to mention top 5 finalist for Mr. Football! I don't think the WR from Beechwood even made All State. But we can agree to disagree! I was also at the region game and the move was made to put the kid at nose guard and he single-handedly destroyed Racelandâs game plan and the offense produced 0 points in the second half! Like I said Raceland has a good team and it will be interesting the adjustments that will be made going into the region game this year. I am sure they will play again! Salmons made the right adjustments in the first half of last yearâs region game by attacking the middle of the field but Paintsville is playing more 4-3 and dropping the LB's to cover that so it will be interesting to see what adjustments will be made this year. I like a great competitive rivalry and thatâs what we have. This should be a great region game again this year!

Passing game does need some work but the QB is getting better each week! Stacking 9 in the box would have worked but they still had to score on Paintsville's Defense and that was not an easy task with that front 7. I watched Beechwood about 4 times last year and their offensive line was solid LITTLE blockers!! Tyrese would have made them double him and he would have made it hard for them to score! As I said they did not have a team that was designed to beat a superior 1A player! They are a solid TEAM that does not beat themselves but they can be beat with a team that has a player that is not supposed to be playing in 1A football.

Cmon man, Allen was good, but he wasn't freaking Warren Sapp. He was out of shape and took plenty of plays off, and wasn't always in on offense because he was out of shape. He was a good player, and I wish him well at WVA, but to act like Beechwood couldn't have handled him and kept him from wrecking the game, is a ridiculous comment.
He was sooooo dominant on defense, that the mighty Raceland offense put up 17 points on Paintsville, the same Raceland offense that had 27 yards against Beechwood. Paintsville better hope they develop more of a passing game than the lateral screens and deep ball game that they run.
Running the ball on Paintsville may have been a challenge last year, but Beechwood would have thrown it on Paintsville, just like they did to Raceland. Unfortunately Paintsville got beaten by Raceland, so we didn't get to see Warren Sapp wreck the Beechwood offense.
