Belfry at Lawrence County Update
#1
8:07 left in the game and Belfry gets the running clock, 56-20. Issac Dixon is a man child! Around 150 yards rushing and 4 TD's. Bentley having another strong game as usual. O-Line playing another solid game. And our defense is continuing to improve and looking good. Looks like another District championship for the Pirates. Not all news coming out of Lawrence County is good though, unfortunately. Belfry star Sophomore FB Brett Coleman left game in first quarter with an injury and hasn't returned. Hope it's not to serious. Could be a real issue if it is seeing as how our starting FB Peyton Hensley has been out most of the year with an injury. Thoughts and prayers for this young stud.

Congrats to Belfry on the win, that Dixon kid is a beast for sure. Belfry was as advertised with a good combination of size and speed that was just too much to deal with for 4 quarters. Very proud of my Dawgs for the way they kept coming at Belfry and I thought we played them pretty tough. Putting up 28 points on the pirates is no easy task and ultimately we just couldn’t stop their big plays. I hope the kid that was injured is okay and gl on the rest of the season.

Thank you friend. Your Dawgs played well and have nothing to hang their heads about. LC is continuing to improve and will be the Dawgs of old before you know it. Good luck to you guys the rest of the way!

Losing Coleman definitely hurt on both sides of the ball. Thought we played a little uninspired. Refs were absolutely awful ....but the field conditions were worse. That is one awful field

I agree on the field conditions. Our football facilities are very lacking but not much you can do when the AD also happens to be the baseball coach. Got a nice baseball facility though don’t we?
