Nope.
And neither did several other Boyle kids that only play varsity.
I'm looking forward to competing with Corbin for real state titles over the next several years. It's what we do.

What does the absence of a varsity player have to do with a JV game?

Longmire is a freshman and so he's insinuating that with him on the field, they win.
That's debatable.
They would have had better rushing stats but the long ball and coverage/special team breakdowns is what brought them back from being down 34-14 late in the third.

And how many Freshmen and Sophomores are playing on Varsity for Boyle that might have been just as valuable. :Shaking:

I wouldn’t put too much stock in a jv game. JV is to build players for later use on varsity. I have been amazed over the years at Mayfield as to how those teams work out. A for instance is this. We only have 1 class in Mayfield history to win a state title all 4 years. That same class as 6th graders could not buy a win. As 8th graders, I think they were less than 500. But, when you combine the athletes from that class with the athletes from 3 other classes at varsity level, all they do is win. Our coaches have said many times, they need 6-8 athletes from each class. If they get more, it’s a bonus.

He is a full time college student and isnât able to make all the games this year, I think he has only made a couple this year. I also think that he had a penalty during the Danville or Beechwood game for being to close to sideline

I agree and that was my point.
However, if the varsity is winning a 3A state title and the JV the same year goes undefeated......that's pretty dang good for the future. But let's face it, all the top teams have good JV teams.

Speaking of Longmire, I would like to see him more involved in the passing game. Put him out in the slot or even as a WR and let him get the ball more out in space. That would also help to spread the field and create space for the underneath routes and screens while Goose is out.

I think he is referring to the a$$ kicking Corbin took last Friday night.

With the game being changed to be played at Corbin he will probably be there. Look he made videos after the Beechwood and Boyle game last year, it seems no matter what the same select few seem to have a complaint. If you donât like the fact he post videos donât watch them, it wonât hurt anyoneâs feelings if you donât. He is a kid trying to make some extra money while he is in college, not to get accused of only making videos when Corbin wins.
