Your boys are good but they ainât great! Donât get your panties in a bunch bc someone asked a few questions! Typical Belfry fan!
Ask around, I'm not the typical Belfry fan. I'm actually one of the most laid back Belfry fans on here until someone starts talking nonsense! And everyone on here knows that. And nobody said anything like their the greatest ever O-Line. Their not. But their far from being the worst line we've ever had to. Like I said, I just stated my opinion as far as a position group on our team. And if you've watched as much Belfry football as you claim you have then you would know that our D-Line needs work. Even fans from places like Corbin, Boyle, etc will tell you that and they haven't seen a game. It's no secret. And undoubtedly you haven't seen enough of our middle rush or you would know better. Like I said, we could run up the middle as much as we want and gain what we need. You must be a fan of one of our district foes. Lol! If you are, then I got it man. I'm sorry!

Once again just b/c I ask a couple questions and state my opinion doesn't mean I'm a fan from another team. Ppl from Belfry can disagree its ok I promise! Also, just b/c it doesn't go with what you believe doesn't me its non sense. I am happy you all take pride in ur ol but they have a lot of work to do as well. Not as tough up front as you all like to put it. Yes, I am smart enough to realize our dl needs work but doesn't mean everyone has to get on social media and bash them. But I forget everyone is a coach now days!! As far as running up the middle we shall see as when we get in to tougher competition but I still don't think you have the power fullback to do it. Yes, coleman is a hard runner and yes he is very talented and a great athlete I know this before you try to come at me with that. Just my opinion could careless if you agree or not!!

This is one of the best O lines in a long time not counting 15/16 and everyone understands why you don’t compare to those years. I have seen most of the really good O lines come through BHS and this one is a dandy. If you can’t see that you are not looking at things objectively. From your posts you make some good points EKPride but you also come across as having a chip on your shoulder. Not sure why.

So by your talk you seem to be a Belfry fan but you sure donât act like one. You state the obvious. Everyone knows the D line has been our weakness. How about making some actual football analysis to back your claims like Outlaw does? Anybody can say someone is good or bad, tell us why and btw share your credentials as to how much you have actually followed Belfry and watched the Pirates over the years.

Btw we actually have 3 very capable fullbacks that combine a mixture of speed and power if they could stay healthy and hold on to the football.

Mounts is and will beast when healthy and no chip on my shoulder! Coleman is a beast also like i stated above. Only thing I was pointing out is we have a lot to work on on both sides of the ball. Yes our offense is explosive on the outside but I donât think we have proved we can run effectively between the tackles. I hate so if that comes off as chip on my shoulder itâs not my attention getting on social media bashing one side of the ball and itâs not just on here. Yes I know itâs obvious but letâs boost the kids up and try get them working harder. As far as credentials as following Belfry football Iâm not getting into that Iâm there just about every weekend and thatâs all Iâm saying.

Agree on Mounts and Coleman. Both have the potential to be studs. Coleman really stepped up in the Pikeville game and delivered quality carries and effort.
Please don't misinterpret discussion about the Defensive Line as bashing the kids. Believe me, neither myself nor any of the posters involved in this discussion, too my knowledge, have ever bashed a kid on social media. These kids put in an enormous amount of work. Dedicate a tremendous amount of time. They are good quality football players.
You stated that we need to "boost them up and get them working harder". Brother....let me tell ya.....they're already working max effort! Its obvious those kids are busting their tails! If they weren't, Coach Haywood wouldn't have them out there.
IMO, this isn't a "work harder" issue. We simply need more size. I'm not saying you need it every series. All I'm saying is, that, during the course of the game....IMO, we would benefit from playing some of our O-lineman on the defensive side of the ball. Get them some reps. Take a look and see what they can do in segments.
I agree with your statement regarding additional potential injury. All of our Offensive lineman aren't without nagging ailments and past injury issues. I know of multiple knee and shoulder injuries (all in the past) that have haunted some of those kids.
Yes, we've put a kid out there occasionally....but like anything else.....you only get better with reps. Get some pace and rhythm out there with some additional minutes.
Just looking down the road.....we're gonna need some help.
