Here's my list. Starting 5 at South Laurel. 3 Bench players and 2 of their water girls

You are correct Fly.. This will be the year of the SL Lady Cardinals in the 13th region. The rest of the field are all young and its going to come down to who the better coaches are in the 13th. What coaches can develop the young freshman and sophomores on their teams over the course of the year will determine who makes a run at tourney time. Going to be a long year for some of the 13th teams.

I agree South is the favorite, but Clay, Harlan County and North aren't young.
Clay has had the same team, basically, for three years.
Harlan County was going to start five seniors before McDaniel left, so they probably have four seniors starting now and a junior.
Whitley has three senior starters and Jackson is loaded with seniors and juniors.

South Laurel is by far the heavy favorite this season, and more than likely the next 2 seasons. Far as being young, there are several teams in the region that will be young but several teams also return experienced basketball teams. Clay Co, North Laurel, Harlan Co, Jackson Co, Lynn Camp, Knox Central, etc all return experienced teams. After this season many of those teams will lose some very key players.
