Final Caldwell County 37 Paducah tilghman 22
#1
David Barnes continues his mastery over Tilghman. Caldwell was better in every aspect of the game and is in the drivers seat in 3A-1.

Congrats to Caldwell County.

Caldwell has taken there game to another level the past 2 weeks, beating 2 solid teams. I sort of expected this after hearing that PTs stud RB was out for this game.. That kid's a player and difference maker and w/o him, they aren't near as effective.. I still expect both these teams to see each other again in the playoffs and have very good seasons..

Caldwell County seems to be putting it all together at the right time and their defense is underrated.

Caldwell is playing like I expected they would before the season started. Not sure why they played so bad the first 3 games, but they are back on track, and will be a tough out. I do expect a rematch with Tilghman for regional championship. I think the winner of the rematch will have a great shot of making it to state.

What the heck has happened with Caldwell? Get beat handily by Hoptown, eek out a win over Crittenden and suddenly they can now beat PT. It don’t make sense.

The Hopkinsville game was essentially a one-score game until Hoptown scored late to salt it away. Caldwell had 5 empty trips into the red zone in that one with four turnovers. The other was turned over on downs at the 2. So that's a lot of points left on the table, but credit Hopkinsville for making some plays.

Crittenden isn't bad and the Caldwell game is Crittenden's big rivalry game. The LitRatings, for whatever that's worth, actually favored Crittenden. Caldwell really played pretty well in the second half of that game.

Caldwell is actually just a couple of plays away from being 6-0. It would be interesting to see how the Tigers would fare against Christian County and Hopkinsville now, but it doesn't work that way. However, I think both of those games, even in defeat, helped Caldwell get better.

Caldwell was committing a lot of turnovers and penalties the first 3-4 games. It really cleaned that up in the last two games.

Caldwell is way better than either Christian, or Hoptown. Tl dude is right thay had fumbliatus in those games. The D was the question this year, but has been solid. They returned everyone on offense so no suprise that they are good on that side of the ball. Just wasn't taking care of the ball early in the season. Caldwell is a dangerous team, especially if any opponent underestimates them by looking at their record, and thinking "well they had 2 losses against 2 average teams they ain't that great" Anybody that plays them better treat them like they are unbeaten, and bring there A game. The way they played the first 3 weeks they looked like a circled win for Mayfield later this year. The way they are playing now you better not sleep on them.

This one caught me and apparently PT, with my pants down :moon:

Congrats Tigers!

PT had one and maybe two kids out or at east they did not show in the stats. I seriously question the decision to go for it on 4th down in what was clearly an early punting situation.

PT with 330 yards rushing, but totally helpless against Caldwell's passing attack. Until that gets fixed, it will be a game plan for anyone they play.

One dimensional teams have a hard time beating good teams.

Thank you. I just couldn’t figure that out. They lost to Hoptown. Both PT and Mayfield handled Hoptown. Then, they beat PT. This is a strange year though.

and Tilghman is overrated as usual.

that's for sure.

PT and Caldwell didn't play the same Hoptown. Hoptown is a shell of its former self without the QB. Mayfield did play Hoptown at full strength.
