Thoughts:
Ponder for Williamsburg is electric. Their line looks improved from last year.
JW is a stud for paintsville. But they seem to lack any identity whatsoever on offense. Very nice looking team size and strength wise.
And the officiating wasnât very good tonight.
Fun game to watch.

I thought Paintsville would take a step back losing Allen and Smith who carried their offense last year but their offense this year is extremely sluggish. Gotta turn that around before the playoffs.

Williamsburg took a step forward tonight. Special teams flipping the field was the difference. Paintsville looked a little hung over from last weeks big game. Paintsville played with a lack of discipline. The refs were not the problem but Paintsville taking dumb penalties was the issue. Paintsviile is good but not the powerhouse they have been in recent years. I think they are capable of playing much better. Don't know if they are on the same level as Pikeville or Raceland this year. Paintsville gashed Williamsburg running the ball last couple of years but was unable to do so tonight. Davis and Mattingly have improved the defense a ton for Williamsburg. Tigers did not appear to run the ball as hard as they have in recent years. Tiger fans did I expect to much from Paintsville or is this an accurate observation?

Truly thought the Jackets was taking this one. Exciting team to watch for sure. Congrats Tigers!

Defense took a huge step forward for Jackets last night. Ponder gave the Tigers fits. Receivers and special teams have to improve if Jackets want to compete with Pineville and Lynn Camp.

I listened to this one and thought Williamsburg never runs the ball. Yes the QB scrambles out but thatâs not a run in my opinion if he is Iâm providing.

Spot on bac. Davis kid should be getting carries in weeks to come. He had a horrific knee injury last year. Surprised he is playing this year. Do have a lot of designed runs for Ponder. He is taking a lot of punishment.

Offense is still a work in progress. Defense played well, only giving up 1 TD (other was pick 6).

So is Williamsburg bad or good? Is paintsville good? Is Williamsburg much improved from last year? We beat them pretty easily last year

Probably because he went to a county school up until 5-6 grade I think is why he said that. He actually lives in the city limits of Williamsburg however. The kid is playing top notch right now for the "Big 🍊"! Go Jackets!
