Boyle County @ Wayne County 9/7/18

Lol

I’ll be honest I was giving Wayne co the benefit of the doubt that they could score late. I feel like Boyle gets up big early and kinda gets complacent or puts in the young guys

I was being sarcastic brother. Thanks anyways though

Just win, learn from your past mistakes and have a injury free game. This game really means nothing for the overall picture. I just hope that they don't try to intimidate Boyle like they did to Rockcastle and just stay on their side of the field for pre-game.

You’re welcome. Just want to be clear and concise.

This game will benefit both teams. Let’s hope both teams stay safe.

As far as last year’s Rock game, you don’t know what you are talking about, so I’m not sure how it relates.

I never thought I would be a Belfry or Louisville Central fan, but I believe I’ll be ordering a shirt this year.

You can always become a Hound. It’s never too late. Even a closet fan, just ask PJdoug hah

Please don't take any of this personal it's just a bunch of old goobers (me excluded) living vicariously thru teenagers.....nothing more, nothing less.

KSD back in the 80's ran a defense called a "7 Diamond" I was hoping somebody had brought it back. Terrible D btw.

Hahahahah. It blows my mind to see 3-4 being ran in HS. Actual 3-4, not variants of. Most college teams don’t have the right personnel to do it so I know High schools can’t effectively. If I’m not mistaken, I’m pretty sure Highlands has been doing it a while, or somone posted they were, and getting ate up doing it BTW. I thought I saw belfry doing it against HHS, but someone told me it was actually a 4-4 and they played the DE back a little further than normal.

I went to the Boyle/Danville and I was surprised by Boyle they are not un beatable by any means. Boyle needs work upfront on offense but Danville is very talented upfront on there Dline. I think the key for Wayne is to bring pressure every play and force the QB into quick decisions, if you give him time he will pick Wayne apart, and on offense Wayne has to find a way to block (73 Kelly?) upfront, nobody talks much about lineman, but he was the best player on the field Friday night,in this former lineman and college coaches opinion, it changed the game when Boyle played him on offense the second half, that read on a inside screen in High School and lineman pic with a return of 40 yards was impressive, the read more than the pick,it takes a great deal of discipline to make that play, and I'm not a Boyle or Danville fan. I was also impressed with 14 and Smith on defense. Boyle wins 35-14 in a closer game than everyone thinks.

There’s not a team in the state that is unbeatable. Not even close.

#14 is Hayden Bottoms and he has really surprised me this season as to how much he has improved his game.

Respectfully to WC, they don't belong in the same field as BC. Rebels roll as much as they want.

Hoping the rain gets thru in time for the game.

On a side note, I can't wait to try those awesome burgers from the pool hall downtown.

Keep talking..... you just made me a little excited about us being in the district with them. Is the place called the Pool Hall?

I'm not 100% sure the name but it's the place that KSR talked about as the best burgers in KY.

I'll give a full report after I eat. 👍🏻

I was just told that Crawford will see a limited number of carries Friday night, he has supposedly told this Monday.

I love visiting other places and grabbing dinner at a local joint and not a chain. Can a Wayne county fan and one that lives there offer up info on where I should go?

Mellow mushroom is good in somerset. I don’t know if you all have to go through there to Wayne co or not. We always take 80 over.

Wayne not only lost an excellent QB from last years team, they lost top 1 or 2 RB's and 3 of 4 top receivers. They are well coached and hard nosed but can't see this one turning out well for the Cards. Not sure if they still come across the 50 in their pregame stuff but if so it will be interesting to see if Boyle responds. Good luck to both teams. Hope it's an injury free game.
#59
Both teams are well coached and tough.

Athletically the Rebels are just better.

A lot of rain can help mitigate the difference in speed/skill.
#60
Does Wayne County still have Fog Issues? The first time the two played was in 1979 and I have to tell you that it was one of the more unique experiences ever. Both teams were on the same sideline and the fog rolled in during the 2nd half making it impossible to see the opposite end of the field where you were.
