Final from Hambley.

Panthers will be Open next week.

Congrats Panthers

Congrats Panthers. You put on a clinic tonight with that offense, and played lights out with a smothering D. Happy and impressed with these young men.

LCA has some talented kids, but they are young and inexperienced. They’ll be a tough out for anyone in the next few years. Good luck to them the rest of the year. As for Pikeville, they came out and handled business early and often on both sides of the ball. The scariest thing about this group: as good as they are, they’ve still got room to improve! Paintsville comes to town in 2 weeks in what has all the makings of a Barn-Burner...HAIL PIKEVILLE!!!

All week I was telling people this would be a running clock and people laughed at me. Pikeville is scary and LCA is not the great team that came into Pikeville and gave them a loss last season.

Congrats to Pikeville!

Full of a ton of studs. Pikeville seems to have no weak players.
On Offense, the Roberts boys and the receivers will be hard to stop. Hard to scheme against this group. They can power run, and spread and pass. And you can't stop the power run and spread pass at the same time. This group of panthers are unique. Defenses will have to pick their poison.

On defense we have a bunch of ball hawks. That sums it up.:igiveup:

WOW,Congrats to the panthers.I was thinking a much closer game I guess because of the tradition of Lexington Christian.I know its very early in the year but the panthers looked very good tonight. But this may be a down year for Lexington Christian also.Time will tell as the weeks move on.Good luck to all the mountain teams and hopefully no injuries for the year.

Pretty sure that has not been said by Pikeville fans, but really don't care enough to look it up and see lol.

Belfry will be favored as they should be when they meet later in the year but it will be a competitive game, unlike most Pikeville/Belfry games the past 15 years.

like playing by themselves.

Pikeville will go through Belfry like a dose of salts.

So what's the story for Big Lamar, #78, for Pikeville? It was obvious from watching him last night that the kid is very very raw but good lord he towers over everybody.

If Browning is not back by then I think Pikeville has a legitimate shot to win for sure. Even with a full speed Belfry Offense I think this is going to be a great game this year.

I may eat my words, but I think this Pikeville team is capable of being better than their last Championship squad. I love their size, I love how they have multiple playmakers, and I love the confidence their Defense plays with.

They dont have that guy like Pugh who will be the best player on the field almost every time he steps on it, but I think they have more gamechangers than that Title team.

Congrats pikeville 👍

Congratulations Pikeville! Wish I hadn't dozed off during this game, but that first game was a barn burner and went into double OT.

Just too old to hang anymore.

Crown them.

No crown yet it’s along season a lot of work to do before then, one game at a time and let it play out. I not one of these posters that know what’s going to happen. Yes I have faith in Pikeville like all good fans do of their teams. To think your team can’t be beat is fiction but thinking your team can win games if they work hard and play hard is faith. On any given night any team and I mean any team can lose. Unlike some posters on here say their team would beat other teams they haven’t played is fiction also. They have their right to their opinions and I respect that but there is no facts to base that on until they do it. As always GO PANTHERS!!!

Lamar is a kid you just can’t help but pull for. Seems to be a Soft Spoken, well mannered young man. This is his first year playing any type of organized football. By the end of the year...you’ll hear much more from this kid as he continues to learn. His physical presence alone can cause disruption, as we saw last night...

No, Paintsville is the prohibitive favorite after their statement wins over Estill Co. and Harlan.

That’s funny jet but we will see what they have this weekend, some one said a running clock but I don’t believe that happens. The competition just got alittle harder for them. Paintsville defense will be by far I think the best Fredrick Douglas has seen this year. I think Paintsvilles offense will have to work a lot harder to score but it will help them in the long run

This kid is HUGE . He looks something like 6' 5" or better. Pikeville looks bigger across the front on both sides of the ball this season. Line play last night was just one phase of the game that was impressive, for sure.

I may be wrong, but imo I think this Pikeville team has more overall team speed than the 2015 championship team. Wouldn't be surprised by seasons end if this is one of the best football teams Pikeville has ever put on the field. Defense flys to the ball, and offense has so many weapons. One game at a time.
