It's 172 miles to Ashland from Harlan Co which is as bout 3.5 hrs in a car...add a couple of hrs due to being on a school bus and that's 5.5 hrs...finding our stadium is another hour.. so there you have it 6.5 hrs..🏈😊

Sounds like you need a new bus and a navigator

Just throwing a little bit of humor your way! It is a 3+ hour drive by car and if you take multiple school buses it will take some add'l time I'm sure. Bottom line is it's a long trip...It can have a negative effect...I'm hoping they can make it sooner and we have a great football game on Saturday night!

LolThat must be the same driver that drove the team with a C on their helmets to Kroger Field, because they didn't show up until it was too late. nicker:

Johnson Central and Raceland both played in the State Championship games in their Class. We beat both those teams during the season. Lost to a Harlan County team that made a run to the State semifinals...Not a bad season at all! I know a lot of teams would love to have the season we had in 2017! We think this year will be a great one too!

Last year's Ashland team would have met Johnson Central in the state finals if Ashland was in the western part of the state.
Beechwood probably would have beat Ashland last season. May have given them a better game than Raceland did, but still probably would have taken an L.
The Ashland vs. Belfry games for the next four years could be on Pay Per View.

Ashland has it figured out. The conventional scheme preserves basic fundamentals of blocking tackling and stopping the run! Ashland has remained formidable because of this itâs no secret. Ashland will be able to compete and beat the Pirates! Believe it! IMO with a little luck and maybe one or two exceptional talents the Tomcats could end up in Lexington playing for all the marbles!

Interesting read in the Ashland Independent Football preview paper today. Ashland and Johnson Central are working on trying to continue the series after this season and redistricting takes effect.

Ashland will benefit every year from playing central.
