I done told you the only Whitley Co recruit we’re interested in is you!! :welcome:

DarthVader Wrote:Did one of Whitley County's young backs become a Hound in the offseason? I remember reading that somewhere, may be totally wrong. If so, is he too young to help?

Kid moved more for baseball I think, but he’ll be a welcome addition to the football team just not sure how he’ll be used or that he can be that impact player that’s being referenced. There’s a freshman running back who will be very hard to keep off the field not sure if he’s ready to be the premier back just yet but Haddix uses so many he may not have to be. Estep doing what he does people never noticed how many backs were cycling in and out.

If it is the same kid I watched in the middle school championship game he is very good athlete. Definitely going to be very good back don’t know about this year but by next year he will be hard to deal with has great speed and has great vision.

He is a really good player but high school football is a totally different animal as you know. He has great potential tho.

It is the same kid, like your thinking I’m not sure his body will be ready to start at the high school level just yet but I see him getting quite a few reps somewhere, by his sophomore season he should be ready to go as long as he puts in the work

On any given night you could rotate JC, Corbin, and Belfry. The gap between them and the rest is substantial.

I don't agree. Several teams can play with those teams on a given night. Looking forward to Belfry at Pikeville as a measuring stick for the Panthers.

I agree with you. Whitley gave Corbin all they wanted last season. I don't see any being as absolutely dominant as they have been. Still heavy favorites and probably better than most on most nights but the talent that all of those schools have lost is hard to replicate. Belfry had an all world team a couple years ago.

Hatz Wrote:As do I. But your statement was that they took care of business the rest of the year.

I said they took care of business in the playoffs.

That's a very subjective statement and I was simply saying Belfry was knocked out early while JC went to the finals.

That was my point.

I feel like JC took care of business the rest of the season but FS was working overtime in the finals. JC was without Shoeless Joe most of last season as well, hopefully he will make a big difference this fall.

I don't think there's any reason that Belfry should be ranked ahead of Corbin to start the season.

I agree with you, Belfry shouldn’t be rank ahead of Corbin because of the way last year turned out with Central. Hope you are feeling better.
