Rumor Has It... This job has been open for awhile, haven't seen anything on it. I have heard a couple of the names, the main name I am hearing and seems to have picked up alot of a steam is Jeff Davis of South Laurel. Was spotted over the weekend at the school and at a local game with Coach Parks, the Defenders played in.

South is loaded next year and the big favorite in the 13th. Hard to see Davis leaving this year

This guy is clueless with his claims. Shouldn't be allowed to post these "rumors" without some sort of proof. He literally mentioned 10 coaches for the Mason County job.

Rumor Has It... Your claims are false, if you read correctly, I gave hints for one coach. But have that's cool. You get a sliver star for trying. Thank you for keeping up me, means alot. :haters:

Looks like someone needs to spend more time on grammar than spreading "False" information and stirring a bunch of BS up! You are messing with peoples jobs and families with this crap, not cool.

Dinky to Knox Central with the Turners... wait no, just joking, Dinky to Clay County with the Turners because he's seen in town.
Corbin is getting a 6'10 player next year who'll also be a wide receiver in football.
Jon Bentley is the front runner at Rockcastle County... before they ended up making an obvious hire in Cash.
Brad Sizemore to Mason County... unless they are going to hire Steve Wright... but, I mean, who really knows with the way things keep changing given that he or she is hearing that Mason County will be interviewing for two more weeks.
Jeff Davis to Bryan Station... right before Nimbo, a far more obvious candidate that most around Lexington weren't surprised by, is hired.
Hope I didn't miss any other bold predictions from a quick glance at the post history, but I think I've made my point.
Most likely a troll, but maybe just someone who believes anything they hear and doesn't realize that whoever is telling them half the stuff they relay is just messing with them?
If half of the "rumors" actually came true, it'd be the most interesting offseason for mountain basketball in at least the past two decades. Then again, it'd be hard for half to come true given that the "rumors" are that every open job has at least two candidates that are a sure thing at some point in the process, sometimes even in the same week, and that half the names mentioned [most of who will be doing the same thing they were doing last year] are "up there" or a "favorite" for at least two or three different jobs.
Rumor has it... as the ultimate prank, he or she will one day show everyone when they actually beat everyone else to the punch by posting something surprising that ends up coming to fruition.

Saw on another website that Bryan Station was interviewing AAU coaches as well, not sure that is the culture one wants to bring into an educational system.

Rumor Has It... Okay, this is an open public forum that is mainly based on "Rumors." I just report what I hear going on behind the scenes, therefore it is tagged as Rumor Has It. I can't help that things fall through. If I knew everything to be true I would tag it as Facts Are.. And what would be the fun with that. I also can't help it that people actually takes all of this stuff serious and get butthurt over it. But who am I to judge, you do you boo.

Well, your reputation has once again shown that you literally no nothing that you speak of. You've wiffed on every hire so far but I want you to keep trying because you continue to make yourself look like a buffoon.

Well, given that none of your predictions come to pass, you might want some new "behind the scenes" sources.
As for people taking it serious, as has already been stated, these are people whose careers and reputations you are potentially damaging. I'd say you wouldn't like it if someone posted on an "open public forum" that they were in the know and "heard a rumor" that you were interviewing for other jobs (when you actually weren't) and it started gossip that got around to your boss, coworkers, and clients.
Ask someone whose employment has been negatively effected by an untrue rumor (e.g., Professor whose Doppelganger was at a white supremacist rally, leading to him being falsely accused of attending who had to go into hiding after receiving death threats and whose Department began getting flooded with letters calling for his termination).
It's playing with fire to recklessly post some of that kind of nonsense. It may not be all fun and games to explain something that affected another's livelihood and employment during a deposition if you plan on using the ole "I can't help it that it didn't come to pass... stuff obviously changes quickly" defense. The ole "I heard that rumor from someone else and was just repeating it" won't save you in certain circumstances either.

Charlotte Court is a reputable AAU team that invests in their kids early and keeps them together. They aren't known as one of the "drop this kid because a better one wants to come on board".
I've heard too many good things and had too many people whose opinions I greatly respect vouch for Charlotte Court and/or Nimbo to consider them to just be an "AAU" program that's lumped in with all the rest.
Most AAU coaches look like they've never played themselves and just collect talent by getting funded. Nimbo played collegiately for four years and is one of the most recognized players in Station history, so it's fair to say that he brings a little more to the table than the average AAU "coach".

Rumor Has It.... This will be the Rumor Mills last post. So me posting stuff that i was told by insiders is worse then people getting here and bashing coaches and players? Makes sense. We could go at this for days, but you would probably still think that everything said on this site is real. Who am I to judge. You do realize that most of the people on here are coaches that start the rumors themselves or ask their buddies to start it for them. But anyway what do I know? Anyway, I am truly sorry if I have ever offended you or anyone else who took The RUMOR MILL serious. As someone who has been in sports as an official, a score keeper, and a play by play man, people never crease to amaze me. But that is neither here nor there, all the fun has been take out of it now. Once again sorry. And for my final send off. Thank you and good night. Go Colonels!

I would hope no one takes this forum too seriously whether any dark corner meetings, predictions or rumors come to fruition or not...lol

Congratulations and good luck to Nimbo!

Thanks to my pal RJW24 for sticking up for Charlotte Court. As RJW points out, theyâve never been a put-together-winner, but always a real grass roots program. Part of Nimboâs motivation in starting the program was a tragedy in his own family, and he wanted to give kids from the housing project in Lexington positive activity and motivation. With the trend away from playground basketball, the team morphed into being representative of central Ky as a whole.
In the here-today, gone tomorrow world of AAU ball, Charlotte Court has lasted 2+ decades, and always stressed values of personal behavior and accountability, and academic achievement. They have sent dozens of kids to college ball at all levels, often doing more than the kidsâ high school coaches to get the kids in. As an example of their kids, this month the 6 core members of Charlotte Courtâs class of 2014 all become graduates of the college class of 2018 â except for a couple of show-offs who graduated early. (Congrats to Lance Blakely of Lafayette/Union College, Darion Burns of Fleming Co/ Georgetown College, Austin Crisp of Fleming Co/ Alice Lloyd, Robert Dence of Lexington Catholic/ Transylvania, Will Henderson of West Jessamine/ Asbury, and Shaun Johnson of Mason Co/ Campbellsville College.)
At their peak, Court had 6-7 boysâ teams and a couple of girlsâ teams. So Nimbo should be good for Station and able to build on the job Johnson has done there, able to administer as well as coach. Charlotte Court coach Oreese was an assistant at Station under Ligon and has lots of respect in the community for his volunteering at the Dunbar Center as well as his coaching, maybe Nimbo will call on him for some coaching help. Hope itâs all great for the kids! Count me as a parent really pleased with my son's experience with Charlotte Court and expecting good things will happen at Station!
