Corbin 2018

mediocre at best like I said.
blueandgreen Wrote:Stop recruiting our players and maybe we'll start scheduling games with Corbin.

That's not gonna happen. lol
Please provide proof we recruit "your" players... Better yet, just put a decent team on the field so they wont want to leave.... There is a reason top prospects go to UK and not Union hahaha..... (you're union in this analogy)
How did they look last night in the spring game?

Rumor Has It.... Haddix hired a new coach last night and named him Head Coach in-waiting. Dont know about the hire or that move just yet. Time will tell.
Who were the Qb's in the spring game?
Head coach in waiting? I don't see Haddix going anywhere anytime soon.
I don’t think Haddix has that kind of power in Corbin.. if my memory is correct, he wasn’t Corbin’s first choice for the job.. 1st choice was from Cumberland ..Maybe was third choice!

If it is who I think it is, he was great at the middle school level coaching and the kids love him. But don’t expect to see Haddix leaving anytime soon nor does anyone want to see him leave, Haddix is loved by all in Corbin. Haddix just hired another all star to join the likes of his current allstar staff. Who wouldn’t want to coach along Haddix, Mouser, Greer, Hart, Mills, Russell, and of course Hannah. By the time these guys leave you would have basically trained under the best and have no choice but to be a great coach, and this kid has a great start from working under Jackson. If we could just get Haddix to let us borrow Mouser for baseball season we would be in good shape.

Whatever choice you say he was, he is the right choice and everything works out for a reason. And the community and supporters are thankful he decided to come to Corbin.

For the love of football I can’t believe you left out Greg Duncum from Harlan Co. The QB for the last state championship team in 1982. Just 36 short years and he’s forgotten. 😪

I apologize to Duncum and Mitchell, the list is full of legends and it is hard to wrap your brain of all the knowledge on one sideline. Again sorry if I accidentally left anyone else out.

Haddix isn't gonna have to worry about naming a successor for a long time. When the time comes, I think his input will be valuable. He may not have been the first choice. I honestly don't know, I wasn't in the hiring committee. I highly doubt somebody from bell county would know either. If he wasn't the first choice he has certainly proven that anyone else would've been a mistake. The guy has turned a program that was trending downward back into the power it should be. As much as you guys from bell and other surrounding schools want him gone, he is happy here and this community loves him as our coach. I can't wait for my kids to play for him. There are many, MANY more years to come of the Haddix hounds!!
Coach Jewell’s first 4 years a very comparable. 3rd round loss, 4th round loss, 2nd round loss and a finals loss.

Trust me. That was because of talent alone. Jewell and Farris have nothing on this staff. It Haddix had some of the talent from those year it would be scary. There was no offensive coaching in Jewell’s day. It was run left. Run right. Run up the middle. Try to stop it. The trickiest play from them was a power play action pass.

I never did agree with wasting a talented player at QB if all he ever does is hand it off. BJ Foley is a good example, never ran the ball, basically only threw the ball in desperate situations and rarely got to play defense. It seemed like you were wasting your best athlete when you didn't have that many to spare.

What is the name of the "head coach in waiting"?

Curious to know if the Sizemore kid is going to play college ball anywhere?? Some of you redpups help me out! If he's deciding not to pursue football beyond this point that's ok too!!

Rumor Has It... I don't see Haddix there for very long. I do know he has looked at other jobs, and he is more then just a high school coach, he will be big time before too long! As far as the newly hired head coach in waiting, hope it works out for him. Big jump from Middle to school to High school, in fact it is a huge jump. If I was going to hire from their middle school staff, he wouldnt have been my 1st choice, but who am I to judge. With all of those great football minds on their sidelines, he can wear a headset too. Best of Luck! Go Hounds!

It doesn’t really matter does it? He’s here coaching the hounds and spankin that tail till you all quit next year. Maybe after Dudley’s done taking you all for a ride you can bring Lou Holtz out of retirement for the same money
