A true classic to watch. Hats off to both teams tonight.

I donât know what to say. Maybe the second best high school basketball game I ever watched live. This Pikeville team has some fight in them. Canât wait for Friday I hope they bring that same fight cause itâs gonna be a similar style team to the one they played tonight.

Just now finishing up work and watching the replay (my first time), but early on, it looks like Pikeville had John Hardin scouted well. Getting behind the press and scoring some easy buckets to keep things close and settle in early was huge.

Watching more of the game, I thought John Hardin's spacing (offensively and defensively) left something to be desired. Same for their offensive sets. Nerves can be a funny thing on this kind of stage too though.

After the day the community of Pikeville & Pike County had Friday, I was glued to WSGS for the broadcast. A Triple OT win at the Sweet 16 had to provide a brief escape for everybody from Pikeville/Pike County. Sometimes, sports mean much more than an athletic competition.
Pikeville.... you guys beat my team in the region finals, but through this Sweet 16 run, I'm a Panther and I will be at Rupp Friday morning.

Is there anywhere you can find a replay of the game online?

i know, right? Wrote:Is there anywhere you can find a replay of the game online?
I think the NFHS streaming site has a replay, but you have pay for a subscription. A Pikeville fan might have a YouTube or Facebook video link.

If John Hardin would have fouled in regulation the game would have been over.
Great game. Pikeville outhustled JH. Pearson wasn't used enough by JH.

I would also love to watch a replay of the game if anyone finds a link.
Pikeville had 2 Regional Championships, 1974 and 1999, since they dominated the 15th Region way back in the 1950s and Coach Elisha Justice has added 2 more Regional Championships to the PHS Trophey Room in his first 2 years as Head Coach of the Panthers. I dont know Coach Justice personally, though I have heard he's a great guy, and I haven't seen any of his teams play in person but that is an impressive feat to win 2 in 2 years and hopefully he makes Pikeville High School his home for the long haul.

I get the Donkey Award. Went to this session, and being a school night here in Lexington we left after the third quarter. Listened on the way home. Pulled into the driveway being down 3 with seconds left and missed the 3-pointer. Assuming it was "over", turned off the car and went inside. Just now saw the score. I don't know how it happened, but must have been awesome.

I had the privilege of being on the radio for this one.
Fans started filling out before the end of regulation when John Hardin had the lead.
I told them to turn in their fan card because it was far from over. I'm glad the Panthers proved me right.

Love how Coach Justice took the opportunity to talk about his faith and the team. Pulling for the panthers! Saw some highlights on Twitter. Looked like a great game.
