When you shoot 10 3's a game at least 2 or 3 of them will go down !! When I watched him in the NCAA tourny every time he got the ball he shot a three !!! He is a selfish player !!!

Wow did you not even look at the stats that were posted? Redick is considered the best "shooter" in college basketball and Lofton's numbers beat him out. 44% on the season is a great 3 point percentage. Redick is sitting at 42% this season. Redick's BEST shooting season is LOWER than Lofton's WORST shooting season. People need to get over the fact that he isn't at UK because of the recruiting process and give this Kentucky native some props. He's arguable the BEST 3 point shooter by quantity combined with percentage in the entire nation.

Nice post, Tomcat68! Chris Lofton showed this past season that he is able to carry the load and be a team leader for Bruce Pearl and the Vols! UK messed up BIG TIME by not recruiting him, and he made them pay at Rupp Arena by pouring 31 on the Cats. If he continues to work hard, like we all know he will, he will indeed be the next 3-Point King of college basketball!

I like Lofton. He is a fun player to watch no matter who he plays for. Percentage doesn't lie and he does shoot the ball well, but he can run and chuck like no other. He threw it up from everywhere against Wichita St. If he did that at UK, Tubby would sit him so fast there would be scorch marks on his shorts. He would be a 10 to 14 point guy at UK under the Tubster and would probably only play 15 minutes a game. Tubby would have ruined him and he would not have a chance to pass Redick.

Odd how we see it EXACTLY the same way, venom93. Tub is noted for destroying a great shooter's confidence. ( see Barbour, Sims, Bogans, etc. )

...Barbour was never a great shooter and wasnt supposed to be...He was just an athlete with good moves to the basket...And I hope you're joking about Sims because thats a joke...Bogans done great at UK..How did Tubby affect him in anyway?

And it's time to put that overused "attempt of an insult" out to pasture, because I promise it's just a sad attempt really...
I gave a rebuttal to you saying Sims was a great shooter coming into Kentucky despite the fact that he never was a great shooter..The same goes for Barbour...And Bogans always shot the ball well, so I'm unsure as to why you said Tubby messed up his confidence...

Tubby doesn't normally even give a guy the chance to gain any confidence in my opinion. Tubby has the tendency to yank a guy on the first bad shot he takes and misses. Sparks was the only real shooter on the team this year and he had no choice but to keep him in at times. If you remember when Sparks (and UK) were in the slump, he spent a lot of time sitting next to Coach Hobbs. I just don't believe Lofton would be the same scorer he is under the Tubby ball philosophy. Uk players just look scared to shoot a lot of times in fear of finding themselves on the bench.

Venom......the top recruits see it just the way you described. One bad shot and they're on the bench. That's one reason why Tubby whiffs on the top recruits. ( see Hansbrough, Young, Wright, etc ) Nobody who wants to take their game to the next level wants to try to improve their stock playing Tubby ball. I know I sure wouldn't.
