After the CFIT game, the one guy told me that if Corbin-Knox met again in the region tourney, Coach P. would find a way to win the game. I saw the same guy yesterday at the Arena after the game. He said, "Coach P's the man!" He reminded me of what he said back in December. Like you, he also said Corbin would win tomorrow.
Sorry but it wasn't me. I didn't attend any of the Cumberland Falls tournament.

[quote=13th Region Renegade]As far as Corbin getting players from elsewhere, could it be that Corbin has the best school system? Always in the top 4 or 5 percentile in academics, it seems. Maybe parents want their kids to get the best education possible. Why on Earth would a parent choose to enroll their child in Knox County schools vs Corbin? If I was going to relocate and was choosing between Corbin or Knox County , there wouldn't be much decision-making there. Also, at Corbin you have a coach who is generally regarded as the region's best.[/QUOTE

Not close........the last 5 region finals Corbin lost to Harlan Co last year. Previously it was the 13-14 season since last time in region finals, losing to Clay 68-54.

If you had to list one key(THE key) for each team if they are to be successful Monday evening, what would it be??? Hell, if you can't narrow it to one key, list two.

If coaching was acting, or throwing fits then Davis would no doubt be a legend. The dude is hilarious to watch. That being said, he rarely beats teams who are more talented than his. That's something coach p does on a pretty regular basis.

As evidenced by losses to Pulaski County, North Laurel, Mercer County.
I would add Doss, but they obviously were terrified of the legendary Tony P
Davis made a Final Four appearance just two years ago. Beating a heavily favored Christian County in the first round and then South Oldham, before losing to Doss in a tight semifinal. When was the last time the Hounds made a deep run, let alone a state title?
Thatâs what I thought

The legend will go down along with other icons of Laurel County coaching- Chuck Broughton, Roy Bowling (girls) and Steve Wright. Wright was Pâs daddy, how many times did Wright take P to the woodshed?

Are you kidding me? He coaches at one of the biggest schools in the region, on top of that south Laurel has decided that they are only going to try to compete in basketball. Since Jep Irwin left they have purposefully tried to bury their football program, and they have let baseball slip considerably. South play basketball and girls sports, the rest are just fundraisers for the basketball team. The 2016 team would've won a state championship if they'd had a decent coach who would've made a certain kid pass the ball. Instead he was chucking up contested threes from the cheap seats against Doss and getting them put back in his face. You can call him a legend all you want to, the fact is that he is more cry baby than anything.

1. Ryan Anders stay out of foul trouble and score over 16pts
2 South needs to speed the game just a little
3 Keep JJ Ramey in the game never take him out of the game
4 Mattrew Cromer dribble drive to the basket and shoot the 3âs
5. Logan Madden keep on be a warrior
6. Clay Weaver rebound, rebound, rebound and take all the charging foul.
7. Alex Hostettier ball handling could be big in this one.
Now the key to the game :pondering:
Donât let Corbin beat you with fast break points after rebounds :mop:
64SUR has never lost a game from the cheap seat. :partyhard
Corbin football Posters i will be back on the sideline in 2019 :howdy::howdy:

To your point, SL has won the region four times since coming in back in 2005-06. Thatâs not bad either
Whitley should be dominating.

He still has a farther run to show than Coach P, and Coach P has the âchosen oneâ on his team. & South Laurel soccer has two state tournament appearances in the past 3 years and baseball has had two in the past 4-5 years

Corbin should win because they have one of the best players in he state. Davis is the better coach for sure but I donât think he has the fire power. Of south wins it will be because of coaching just like last year. Truth hurts.
