Don’t know how other places are doing things, and sort of curious as well. At the arena for the 13th region games, every person that enters is being checked with a metal detector and having their bags checked. So far, it has gone extremely smooth. They’re checking everyone from fans to players and coaches. I thought at first it would take awhile to get everyone through, but I don’t think it’s been too time consuming. I think it’s a sad day in time where we have to do this, but if it prevents an accident then i think by all means it should be done. All it takes is one idiot.

I don't have a problem with it. Hopefully, all the local schools get metal detectors.

This is an awesome idea. They do it at the pro and college levels with no issues. High School sports are the most vulnerable. Glad to see this being done.

7th Region first round games were at district winners. No metal detectors there. Usual 2-4 person security-police officers/deputy sheriffs. I do not believe Valley High will have metal detectors for Region 6 and Region 7 final fours. Historically, they have not.

I do agree. They need to step up and start realizing that our society is crazy
