I wasn't at the game. I just saw the score on the KHSAA web site.

Too many turnovers by LC and too much length for PCC made it a long second half for my Eagles. Coach Day is one of the best coaches in the region and has some young talent coming up. Hats off to him and his team on a fine season. Weâll beat your pesky Commodores eventually.
And zag, in a few months weâll fight about high school recruiting when Perry brings in who knows who because of graduation and Cordia brings in who knows who because that is what they do. Until then my friend. (Not really Iâll still find something to argue about on here) 🤷🏻

Leslie and Perry both experienced the best and the worst this year with the district tournament.
There's a pretty good chance they wouldn't have met until the championship under traditional seeding rules. But it's never that easy in the 54th District.
If not for a stretch at the end of the third and the start of the fourth, this one could have been a different outcome.
Best of luck to the Eagles seniors.

The score is a little deceiving. Perry was up 22 with about 3 minutes to go and started substituting but leslie left their starters in the whole game. Don't get me wrong leslie played pretty good but the press killed them but if perry leaves their starters in in probably would have been more like a 30 point game. I don't understand why leslie coach didn't give his seniors a curtain call at least.

They were probably trying to win the game.

Perry was too much.

Could just as easily say the game was much closer than the final indicates. Was a battle for 2 quarters. And some of the third. Late in third and early 4th hurt Leslie and Perry took advantage. Coach Hoskins even said that stretch was the best his team had played in a long time.
Congrats to Perry, they deserved it. Play like that defensively and shoot that well, th y can give Knott some problems.

Actually right to the very end of the 3rd quarter. If I'm not mistaken the score for most of the 3rd quarter was 40 to 35, that's when Cornett got the snowball rolling with a big 3 to end the 3rd.

Correct. Was more referring to Leslieâs struggles with the press and scoring started midway through the 3rd. Good luck to Perry. Wouldnât surprise me if they win it, and if they do, if Iâm from Perry, Iâd take into account they did it with mainly their kids. Wonât count the mid season transfer. Not knocking them at all. Trying to point out, recruiting in isnât always a good thing for the team.
